Happy Halloween

Thought it would be fun to create some Halloween art.  I love a super moon.  I will never forget the first time I watched Joe Versus the Volcano (with Heidi in High School).  I was mesmerized by the scene where he was sitting on the trunks in the ocean staring in awe at a larger than life moon.   Maybe next year I will hang these in my house as part of my Fall deco.   I didn’t really have the time to invest in this but I keep reminding myself that projects like these must be done now – while I still have a six and three year old.

I wanted Troy to be a fireman for Halloween.  Turns out, he had his own plan this year and INSISTED on being a “piwate”.

Elaine is One {Phoenix Baby Photography}

Meet Lainey.  She is as cute as a button and one of the happiest, most smiley little babies I have seen.  Grin, grin, grin.  Give cheerios.  Grin more.

These images were captured at a local hotel.  Hotel properties can be a great session spot.
Doesn’t she just melt your heart.   SO SWEET and BEAUTIFUL.

As a matter of fact, yes I do want to give you a hug little Lainey.

Kierstin is Two {Phoenix Child Photographer}

Miss Kierstin is two!   I have a strong affection for this little darling.   She has made me work for it since she was a newborn and I love her for it because she is her OWN little woman.   I just LOVED this shot of her and her daddy.  When working with toddlers, you must keep them busy.  Kierstin’s mama wisely brought several different props for her to keep her occupied.   I loved the can with the flowers and so did Kierstin.

Look who loves Minnie?  Think she might have wanted to keep them?  All of them!
Pretty fabulous shoes aren’t they?

While waiting for Kierstin to have an outfit changed, I snapped some macro shots of the bouquet just for fun.

Big brother Easton is such a sweetheart.   He is the calm to the mighty little storm with this duo.  They have been so much fun to watch grow.
At 2, Kierstin was not likely to sit still and pose for the camera but if you ask me, capturing her playing was the perfect way to preserve this moment in time.

When brother threw on her pink cowgirl hat to bring her a doll, I couldn’t miss the moment.  TOO cute.
Rain boots, rain coats, umbrellas, and butterflies…what the sweetest little girls are made of.

Missing you already Miss Kierstin.

Daniel and Brooke + 5

Back in August, Daniel and Brooke and the kids, Papa and Sweetie, and Jim and I and our kids went on a day trip to the Yarnell area.  We thought we would maximize on Daniel and Brooke’s 2014 family session and sneak some play time in.  As always, we had a fantastic time.  We even had a celebrity site seeing event when we encountered Demi Moore in a nearby restaurant.  I love my brother, sister, nieces and nephews to pieces and we really enjoyed our day with them.

Left to Right:  Noah (almost age 12), Cozy (age 5), Quinn (age 3), Daniel, Braxtyn (age 8), Brooke, Graham (age 10)

The kids did such an awesome job for Aunt Sissy!  I was super proud of the fabulous five.  Aren’t my girls beauties?

And such handsome, amazing nephews I have.  (Must brag.  I am the Aunt.)

Miss Quinn spilled her drink in the car on the way up and when we stopped for potty break, mama was madly trying to wash the dress in the bathroom sink.  I advised holding it out the window to drive (because what else were we going to do?) and low and behold…that worked perfectly.

I love mama/daughter shot.  I ended up shooting a LOT of Quinn because she was ubiquitous on shoot day so I had to take advantage of it.

Our crew couldn’t wait to be let loose in the mud.  Well everyone but my Troy boy.  As you can see, it took a little convincing for him.
And yes, my man is still sporting his beard.   He is so dreamy.  I am a lucky, lucky woman.
