Camping

Approximately 20 months ago, Jim and I sat at a table in a restaurant in Mesa and met Ty’s birthfamily. On this momentous occasion we discovered that we all LOVE to camp. We determined that after Ty was born, we would go on a camp out together. Last summer that was obviously not going to happen but we were hoping that this summer we could at long last schedule our outing.

Finally, after two years without any type of vacation….Jim and I and the boys are going camping!!! Yeah!!! Papa and Sweetie and Cheri and Amanda (Ty’s birth grandma and birth mom) are going with us. We leave tomorrow afternoon once Tanner and I get back from speaking to Center for AZ Policy (ESCR stuff:).

I have been so excited about this trip because we have been in desperate need of a vacation HOWEVER, in light of the nations crisis, my elation is tempered. Ironic that we would be going camping when so many are forced into camping right now. My heart is breaking for all those in affected areas and I have choked back sobs so many times today as I left FOX news on all day.

Jennifer, Shayla, and Sammie,….please keep updating the hurricane posting when you get news. I will be praying for all of you and your families. Shayla – am anxious to hear word that you have heard from your family. Sammie – let your mom know that people are praying. Can’t even imagine how hard that must be. I wish I could jump on a plane and show up in waist high water boots and help! Jennifer – I am near overwhelmed with your in-laws turning their home into a family refugee camp – praying praying.
Can you tell us what the specific needs are right now? Tanner was praying for you at lunch today too.

Signing out until next week – I’ll bring back lots of pictures.
