Never a Dull Moment

A picture is worth 1000 words.

Jodi and I were in Pine last week doing pictures of Karsyn, Ryker, and Cooper.? I was shooting the kiddos on the tire swing and getting very annoyed at that black bird who would not shut up.? On and on she complained.? Finally, Julie (Jodi’s sister) spotted the problem.? A large snake was in her nest.? You will notice in the last picture that the snake was directly above the tire swing where we were shooting!!!!!!??? Anyhow, we freaked out as any true girly girls would.??? Thinking it was a rattler, we demanded that the local hero rescue us from these dire circumstances.? Turns out, it was a FIVE foot long bull snake.? He pleaded for its life but the jury of women sentenced the critter to a swift execution.? Rattler or not, we weren’t done with our pictures and we were not (I repeat NOT) going to be watching and waiting for that snake to slither down out of that nest while we were anywhere in the county.? And besides all that, he did eat all 4 of the baby birds.? Circle of life folks.

I did feel regret for my unkind words toward mama bird though.? Jodi, Julie and I cheered her on (while covering our heads) as she literally dive bombed the snake in her nest.

YUCK!!!!!!!!

(Hero’s identify being protected for fear of community shunning for the demise of a bull snake.? Women can be persuasive though so cut the guy a break.)
