Since the broken femur, Noah has been very detailed in telling us what is hurting when he gets injured. He is really trying to describe bones and organs in a way that we understand where he hurts. So lately we have been telling him where his organs are and what they do and so forth. Tonight he was moving on all fours like a monkey and his arms gave out, which in turn made his little nose hit the tile pretty hard. After he had settled down he tried to explain to me the depth of his pain and with the most serious expression he said, ” Mom, when I hurt my nose my heart broke into a lot of pieces and I think?? I swallowed my guts.”?? I tried desperately??to keep a straight face and be compassionate but later Daniel and I have been laughing. I guess we need to work on the anatomy lessons!
