Red Vine Baby

Upon second thought, I probably should have said “No!” to Tori when she wanted to share her red vine with Troy.???? What. A. Mess.

As you can see, my little man got his glasses this week.?? He does decently with them if he is sitting down and occupied (eating, playing with blocks, etc).?? The minute he is on the move though, he is ripping them off.?? I suspect it is throwing off his balance getting used to them.?? This is not going to be a fun battle for either of us.???? I am very very sad that Troy has to wear glasses – especially at this age but when I looked through them it nearly broke my heart.?? His prescription seems significantly higher than Ty’s.?? What has he been seeing all this time I wonder??? In any case, I am very grateful to live in an age where there IS something mama can do about it.?? I want him to look in wonder upon his world and I am so very happy that now he will be able to.

  1. There is absolutely nothing you can do that diminishes that little boy’s good looks! I love how blond and curly is hair looks – and just picture a “cabage patch” doll but to the millonth time more BEAUTIFUL!!! You know this is scary letting Tori teach him new things…look back through her pictures!!! Ha! Ha! What fun your family is! Lovin’ you as always, Aunt Beck

  2. Handsome boy!

In 2000/2001 Hannah and I lived in Pennsylvania. I loved the change in scenery. The grass, the trees, taking long drives and just seeing the countryside was beautiful and amazing. Hannah never enjoyed the car rides and it was a struggle to get her to go. We were there 8 months or so when her first grade teacher recommend that I take her in and have her eyes checked. Sure enough, she needed glasses. We walked out of Sears and the poor little girl looked around, lifted up her glasses, put them back on and said, “There’s tree’s???!!!” Her vision was so bad that all she could see what green blobs going by, she had no idea what we were even looking at. That was the year that I won the Mother Of The Year Award. So glad that you are able to help Troy (and Ty) while they are little.

p.s – to defend myself a little bit, I have 20/20 vision and it never dawned on me that she might need glasses.

    Much love,

    Sarah

  3. You are such a strong mama and an inspiration to me. Troy looks adorable in his glasses! He looks adorable without them to, but…

  4. I am sure it makes you sad that your little guy needs to wear glasses but just know how adorable he looks. He is so young but will get used to having them on, I am sure. He is such a sweetheart, love the picture. Your kids are so very blessed to have such a wonderful Mama 🙂 You are always so on top of it all. You are truely a blessing to them as much as they are to you <3
