Little Valentina was an angel baby for her shoot. ??At only 5 days and under 6 pounds, she slept like a dream and gave us plenty of fun shoot time. ??Her mama was really hoping for outdoor shots (and that can be hit and miss depending on season/weather/timing/baby) but the stars aligned for this shoot. ??Feb and March are great opportunities for desert shots (especially if there was a lot of Jan/Feb rain). ??It can be on the cold side though but on this particular day the sun was out and it was quite nice. ??How many other country-wide photographers could shoot a newborn outside in February? ??Definite bonus for living in Arizona!
Now…about my custom made Fairytale Carriage…
A couple of months ago I pitched an idea to my Father In Law. ??He, quite sweetly, went to work on it and I was DELIGHTED at how the woodwork turned out. ??Perfection! ?? My dear husband agreed to do the framework and finished it up this past weekend so I would have it ready for Valentina’s shoot. ?? Just what I envisioned (plus some!). ??I feel like a lucky lady to have such talented guys willing to take on my “Honey Do List”. ?? And what an adorable first model I had for it!
Valentina’s older sister, Victoria, is only 17 months old so I was hoping the baby in the carriage would hold her attention. ??What a little beauty big sister is too!
When I first saw Victoria, I wanted to put down my camera and snuggle her. ??At 17 months, she likely would have had none of that but the little one is dreamy isn’t she? ??I can’t wait to see what little sister looks like in a few months.

Coincidentally, this little darling was born on Valentine’s Day!!!! ??How amazing is that? ??She was not due until the end of Feb so her name was not chosen because of her birth date. ?? How lucky was that?
Purple is her color!
Looking forward to seeing these two little ones again in a few months!

I love this picture shoot so much. What a gorgeous family, and is that dad going to be so hosed or what…all these beautiful women are going to have him wrapped around their little fingers just by looking at him and batting their eyes!!! Beautiful family. I love the outdoor ones with big sis first looking down at her, but then looking at the camera with those huge eyes!!!! I also love the shot where baby Velentina’s leg is the “v” in L O V E! Great work Doni. Congratulations to Mama and Daddy for such a precious little princess family!
