Baby’s First Easter

Tada….Tori’s Easter attire. ๐Ÿ™‚ Isn’t that a sassy little look? And yes I do realize her bow band was falling off. ๐Ÿ™‚

Those who know me, will be shocked by this. I am not a shoe girl. Won’t likely be for Tori either. BUT she did need Easter shoes at least. That is the one and only time she has worn them. I like sockies. The only sockies that I can find that will stay on her though are the Carter Bootie Socks.

Yesterday Tori had her immunizations and was so sore afterwards. Poor baby girl! Because of this, I did get the very first 5.5 hour stretch of sleep during the night though. Yippeee for that. She weighed 9 pounds 4 ounces yesterday! She is 7 weeks now and her Dr. is so impressed with her weight gain. I have several more Easter pictures to share but they will probably be posted slowly over the week as I get them done. I love that little yawn. Darling isn’t it?

GOOD NEWS

Tori’s pediatrician released her from lockdown yesterday. He said that the RSV season is really winding down AND Tori has been gaining so well that he thinks she is okay to go out now. We will still be very cautious about having her OR ESPECIALLY THE BOYS around people who are sick but we MIGHT be in church this Sunday. I say “might” because I know that some of our family members are still sick and I want to keep Tanner and Ty from that so depending on how they are doing by Sunday will dictate whether or not we venture out.

MORE GOOD NEWS

This means we finally get to celebrate Tori with her baby shower and baby dedication! Yeah!!! Her shower is scheduled for Sunday April 6th after the morning church service. Her dedication will also be that morning.

My Darling but EXASPERATING Ty

….oh my has it been an interesting Ty week. Sometimes I feel so sad for Ty because he just doesn’t know what to do with himself and he ends up getting himself into trouble. He isn’t being intentionally disobedient, he just wanders and disturbs the things he isn’t supposed to because (unfortunately) only electronical devices (and food) hold his attention. I have tried occupying him with so many things but it just doesn’t last. I have had moments of wanting to have both of us committed this week:)!!!

This morning I told him to put something down that he wasn’t supposed to have and to come to the breakfast table. I heard him in this little cartoon voice say “What else can you possibly take away from me!” – He was loosely quoting from The Incredibles. LOL (Mr. Incredible says “what else can you possibly do to me?”) I couldn’t help but laugh and feel a little sorry for him.

Yesterday morning he really cracked me up. I came to the breakfast table wearing a long sundress. Ty says “Mommy you do not look beautiful in that dress. You look beautiful in your bear jammies. Go put them back on.” ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ I love this kid.

Oh my I’m in histarics, that kid is surely something else. I needed a dose of Ty today! You really need to post a pic of ty’s favorite bear jams now,I think were all curious. Ha! Oh my gosh look at that CUTE little baby in that CUTE little tiny dress (said in a girly high pitch squeal) Tori’s yawn is soooo precious! I’m a big sockie fan too,but I agree she needed those shoes ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. You are going to need to save those “bear jammies” to give to Ty for his wedding night! I know that is far off, but it will be here sooner than you realize! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Oh I have been waiting to see her!!! She looks so adorable and alert!! I love the shoe thing, even if for this occasion. I must say that it looks like if she moved her foot the wrong way those little shoes would fall right off.
I am also excited a date has been set for her dedication! I cannot wait to meet her. Don’t worry about sick one from my house I have already told the kids THEY ARE NOT GOING. (such a mean mom, I know). I only brought Landen’s to TY’s dedication because of the NICU buddy system. There is plenty of time for the other’s to meet her
Heck, I wish someone would tell me I look better in Jammie’s…….what a great excuse to us for lazy days.
Someone once told me, that having four boys will one day keep my fridge on constant alert for a trip to the grocery store. Poor TY, I am just glad to hear his food intake is improving, I remember there were so many issues with that.

  4. LOVE LOVE LOVE that middle picture – oh you can see her GIRL personality in it! her outfit is adorable – shoes too ๐Ÿ™‚ but wouldn’t you know, it’s the GIRL that makes that outfit – truly. ๐Ÿ™‚

i am just LOVING how ty loves you in jammies. precious.. and truly helpful as an excuse when someone drops by and you are still in them at 3pm. You simply say you did it for ty. ๐Ÿ˜‰ his quote of incredibles was adorable too.

  5. Oh my gosh! She is just about the cutest thing I have ever seen!! ๐Ÿ™‚

And Ty is such a character… He always cracks me up!
I agree Kristy, we need to see those jammies!! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  6. Wow! How amazing, love the pictures, Tori is so beautiful in her Easter outfit, so precious. Poor Ty, he keeps me laughing. Sorry little guy that my laughter is at your expense. You seem frustrated, things will get better especially now that you are cleared to go out! Burn that energy. Ty you are right though! jammies are great! great comfort!

    Thanks for the wonderful pictures.
