Hope and Grace

Aren’t these two little darlings??? Hope is three and baby sister is 2 months old.???? Hope was very fun to interact with.?? She is a little talker like me so we hit it off wonderfully.?? I love the picture of Gracie’s kissy lips.?? She has such pretty little features.?? Going to be a beauty like her sister no doubt.?? These two munchkins are daughers of a long time friend of mine who I get to see too often so this little mini shoot wasn’t nearly long enough for a catch up.?? We’ll have to remedy that soon.?? ๐Ÿ˜‰

*****************************

Friday was family FAIR NIGHT – and it was so fun (as usual).?? I know I say this every year but I LOVE THE FAIR!?? What is it with all you people who hate the fair??? I don’t get it!?? It’s not any dirtier than any other place with a lot of people and I have never had or witnessed any type of people issues.?? In fact, I rarely even see anyone intoxicated (of course we usually leave by about 11:00 so maybe we miss that crowd?).?? Jodi carried a bottle of purel in her stroller (naturally) – so we were all set.

Fair Highlights:

1.?? Jodi and I dream about what we will eat at the fair.?? We talk about it weeks in advance.?? Just call me “Templeton” :).?? I go to eat.?? This trip I ate half a honey and sugar fried bread, half a taco fried bread, a green chili burritto (mmmmmm!) and shared some zuchinni sticks with Darin.?? The hot chai was simply scrumptious but I can’t drink chai after noon or I will stay up until 4:00 AM.?? Can’t believe I missed dessert.?? I usually have a chocolate covered frozen bannana or ice cream on a stick but the zuchinni pushed me to the limit.?? I did have a bite of a deep fried twinkie.???? Could live without that.

2.?? Jodi and I rode a crazy fun ride of which I have forgotten the name.?? Darin, Jim and Aimee all get motion sickness so usually Jodi and I team up for the spinning stuff.?? You should see us at Disney on the teacups.?? :)?? At first I thought it was good old fashioned fun and was enjoying my light hearted screaming.?? When I was upside down spinning back and forth on the pendelum, I was so scared I couldn’t even open my eyes and Jodi and I both went silent.?? I think we were both praying.?? LOL!?? Our kids thought we were really cool though.

3.?? I love the commercial exhibits and this year took home 2 packages of the Sham WOW and a Smooth Legs kit.?? ๐Ÿ™‚ :)?? Jim was pleased that there were no mops for sale.?? I wasn’t.

4.?? Spending time with my family.?? Doesn’t get better than that.?? When we go to Disney this winter it is going to be OUTRAGEOUSLY fun!?? I am getting so excited!

  1. oh do tell about the smooth legs kit! i want a review!

I’M TOTALLY JEALOUS OF YOUR FUN TIME! maybe next year i can plan ahead to fly out there just in time for the fair??? hmmm…

  2. Mixed reviews on the smooth legs kit. Jury is still out for me. I bought it for my upper lip more than legs – us black haired women are doomed. I tried it a bit on my leg just for a test and while it worked nicely and my skin felt good, I wouldn’t use it on my legs because (a) it takes longer than shaving and (b) by then end of the day I could feel it again. However, for the upper lip it was very quick and painless! My concerns though are twofold. It stung (not bad but noticeably) for most of the day though it didn’t turn red. I could totally cope with that, but it made me wonder how badly I was abusing my skin. Second, my skin has been very dry since so that is weird. I used good moisturizer as well. That doesn’t happen to me with waxing. Third (okay threefold not two) – I want to see how the hair grows back. If it is soft like waxing, then I may stick with this because it is quicker and easier than waxing and I think I could cope with the sting and dryness (if the dryness improves quick). But if it comes back like post shaving, I will hate it. The lady at the fair used my forearm and that hair has still not grown back (it’s Monday that was Friday). I did my lip on Saturday and still am smooth. So that is my review.

  3. I used the smooth legs kit on my fingers and it worked great. I agree with Doni that it is too time consuming for legs, but for small areas it seems to work pretty good.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fair. Had a wonderful time, but I don’t feel like I got my food fill. I may have to head back to eat before it closes!!

  4. Ok Doni, you’re warming me up to the whole fair idea ๐Ÿ™‚ The first and only time i went to the fair was about 6 or 7 years ago and i wasn’t a fan, something about the rides being assembled and then broken down, put on a truck in pieces, then assembled again in the next town and being operated by a 16 year old kinda freaks me out…. what if they forgot a bolt??? i realize thats kinda over reacting, but im such a weirdo like that hahaha. I’ll give it a second chance ๐Ÿ™‚ the food sounds DELICIOUS and i really want a shamwow!
