I am one of those people that double check the facts when I get forwards (if I read them).?? A huge percentage of the time, the originator who forwarded did not check.?? I have been teased enough by my husband over the years for believing urban legends that now I am an honest to goodness cynic.<\/p>\n

About a year ago (I am guessing), there were emails circulating about the magic eraser.?? A mom (as I recall), had used a magic eraser to get permanent marker off her daughters arms and caused pretty significant abrasions.???? How many of us get a bright idea in our head that turns out to be a pretty lousy one??? Sometimes we (or our kids) learn the hard way.?? I felt for that mama when it happened (and I did check out her story and by all appearances it checked out).<\/p>\n

Yesterday morning Tori and I were taking a shower.?? She made me giggle when she pulled her typical “mini me”.?? Ty started knocking on the bathroom door (as usual) and Tori rips the curtain back and yells at the top of her lungs “WAIT GUYS!”<\/p>\n

As I was shampooing, I hear her say “Ow!”.?? I look down and she is using the magic eraser that I had left on the tub wall to clean her face.?? Quickly I grabbed it away telling myself what an idiot I was for leaving a cleaning product within her reach.<\/p>\n

Sure enough, abrasions on her face.?? Her little nose, cheek, chin, and under her eye are rashed.?? What was especially perfect about the incident was that I was showering her to get her ready for a product shoot for Juju’s tutus that I did yesterday (more about that another day).???? Nice timing huh?<\/p>\n

I think those sponges are soft enough that you don’t feel the effect immediately which is why she managed to do some damage before she felt the sting of it.?? It could have been a lot worse than it was so I am grateful that I got it when I did.?? I can’t imagine how bad it would have been had she washed any longer because she couldn’t have escaped my notice for more than just a few seconds (nor would she have had the attention to wash her face that long).???? Sad state of affairs…<\/p>\n

I bought 4 10×10 squares from the trio shoot this week so I can hang them as a collage and I LOVE how they turned out!<\/p>\n

I took Tori and Ty to the orthopedic Dr. last week and it was good news all the way around.?? He was so impressed with Ty as usual – thought the CP looked sooo mild.?? I brought Tori in because her legs can seriously swivel a 180.?? From her hips down, they turn in where her knees are facing one another.?? I wondered if she was going to need braces (which they rarely do anymore but she seemed a pretty bad case).?? The Dr. told me there wasn’t a thing wrong with her.?? She is just AMAZINGLY flexible.?? Guess that explains the tribal pose huh??? \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

I am please to announce that Tori’s recent cardiologist appointment (3\/29\/10) revealed that her ASD has closed completely.?? She no longer has a hole in her heart!?? Yeah!!!!!<\/p>\n

I was pretty surprised to find that she still weighed only 22.4 oz WITH clothes on AND a wet diaper which means she really weighs in the 21 pound range at 26 months.?? Crazy huh?<\/p>\n

Because I get very little “me” time, I sometimes slip into the bathroom and actually LOCK the door.?? :)?? Tori has made a habit lately of pounding on the door and then saying “Me!”?? “Me!”?? As in, “who is it??? It’s me!”<\/p>\n

Her word list is too long to document anymore and she is starting to piece sentences together – FINALLY.?? They are never more than 3 words, and frankly 3 words is pretty rare too but definite progress.?? She proves that you can get your point across very quickly when you want to.?? A skill I have yet to master.?? \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n
