American Idol is our family’s favorite show at the moment. All four of us love to watch it! Last season I needed a serious vent session after each show so I figured that since this is a good spot for my ranting (and several other family members are watching AI too)…I would post MY critiques each week! LOL!<\/p>\n
To start, I believe this is going to be the best season yet. I was very impressed tonight with the talent displayed by the guys! Jim and I both had a tough time narrowing down our favorites. We usually are on the same page with our critiques. <\/p>\n
So just for fun (in order of who I remembered first not necessarily a ranking)…<\/p>\n
Jospeh <\/strong>– all the way! I LOVED his version of Micheal B.s “How Do I Live With Out You”. The judges were harsh tonight. Too harsh (often I think they are too soft). He sang with soul and passion and was so stirring.<\/p>\n Bo<\/strong> – I can’t believe I am rooting for the rocker but I loved him. I think his voice is awesome. Drift Away was a perfect choice for him!<\/p>\n Scott<\/strong> – This guy truly has a phenomenal voice. I would have rated him higher but not into his song choices yet.<\/p>\n Constantine<\/strong> – Again, I can’t believe another rocker is one of my top picks but I loved his song choice and I enjoyed his style tonight.<\/p>\n Mario<\/strong> – Not into the song but I love his stage presence and I think he is idol material. We’ll see if he can step up his game.<\/p>\n Jared<\/strong> – Beautiful voice tonight – loved him. I think he could step up the charisma though.<\/p>\n Anwar <\/strong>– Sweet guy with a lot of talent but hated the song.<\/p>\n David<\/strong> – Another guy with an outstanding voice but he blew it tonight. <\/p>\n Travis<\/strong> – Boring song awesome voice. I am getting a little tired of the soul style personally thus a lower ranking. I think he could have given Rueben a run for his money though.<\/p>\n Anthony<\/strong> – I think Anthony is full of great potential but he faltered tonight. Poor song choice and too much vibrato. He killed the slides with his abrupt climbs. I don’t want to see him go though because I still have faith he can do this.<\/p>\n Nikko<\/strong> – Not bad by any stretch but he gave me nothing to remember him by either.<\/p>\n Judd<\/strong> – Fun fun fun but I don’t know that he really has the voice to pull this off. We’ll see how he does with other styles if he gets that far.<\/p>\n Who did we vote for? (Actually I couldn’t find the number in time after the show so we technically didn’t but I do like to vote)……<\/p>\n Unanimous decision in our household – JOSEPH!<\/p>\n Which two would we vote off? Again, we agreed: Nikko and Judd<\/p>\n That’s our 2 cents;)<\/p>\n *I know I am behind in my postings from last week.
