Melissa E., Jennifer C., and John F. have all been concerned about my whereabouts lately – so to you three – I am fine – no worries \ud83d\ude42 ! Just simply overwhelmed and busy. At the risk of sounding whiny (thought I am not writing this with that intent), I will detail what has been occupying my time lately:<\/p>\n
1. Ty
\n2. Ty
\n3. Ty
\n4. Ty (this goes on to 1120)
\n1121. Tanner (he is about 1\/3 the maitenance by personality and age so I will only go up the scale to 1600).
\n1601. I am leading a discipliship bible study on Thursday nights on the Life of Paul.
\n1602. I am starting an adult sunday school class in September and have been working on several mini class models (will be doing several classes in 6 to 8 week blocks).
\n1603. I am responsible for the church finances right now as my Aunt is still homebound after surgery.
\n1604. I am the Administrator of our church’s celebration committee (anyone want to replace me on this next year?)
\n1605. Ty is in PT, am starting OT this week and possibly ST soon
\n1606. I listened to 20 phone messages this morning – most of which I have not returned yet (oldest was a week old)
\n1607. Every day I have between 160-200 emails. I do not get that many a day but since I don’t have a lot of time to answer email (though I do read it daily) – they build up on me and I always seem to have about that many waiting on replies each day and obviously the build up happens because I don’t get through many of them in a given day.
\n1608. This week did another media interview for Charisma magazine (should come out Oct – Dec issue).
\n1609. Possibly doing 60 minutes in the next few months.
\n1610. Working on Snowflake DVD (To my fellow snowflakers – I am about 1\/2 finished \ud83d\ude42 .
\n1611. Very anxious for BSF to start back up in a few weeks but that is another weekly commitment.<\/p>\n
Now I realize that most people could write an even longer list especially adding school functions and sports ect. I didn’t write this out to complain. Only to say that because of a. my easily overwhelmed personality type and b. my inability to multi-task; this list is rather enormous for what I am actually capable of. Thus the reason I have been behind on my postings. I am not feeling stressed particularly though because I am actively involved in ministry right now and I am loving that but I have a lot of other things that just aren’t getting done. I used to do quite a bit at night after the boys went to bed but lately I have not had the energy.<\/p>\n
Another reason for my delay in posting is…I’ll be honest….the feeling violated issue. I am not going to continue to harp on this but I will say that I really didn’t appreciate people that I don’t know choosing to comment in such judgemental ways in regards to parenting my sweet kids. I have had a few more comments that did NOT get posted and I hope I am sending a message to those that are truly stalking my site. I have developed precious friendships through this website and the huge majority of people that frequent this site I welcome with open arms – there is this teeny tiny minority though that I would like to block access to and I would if I felt like managing passwords (but I don’t). So alas, I guess I just have to grin and bare it and delete their comments. In wouldn’t be so bad if they were debating issues unrelated to my children (of which there are plenty) but don’t trespass upon my family or you will be effectively calling this tiger mother out. In the past I always thought it was weird that so many celebraties won’t post about their children online. I, am not one of notarity of course but since this site has had quite a bit of traffic, I have faced some similar dilemas on a much smaller scale. I am starting to have much more appreciation for why people in the public eye try to move their family into very private circles. Guess I just needed to vent about that for a minute. I am not going to give this any more time though because it isn’t that interesting \ud83d\ude42 . As it does tend to kill the passion in writing in regards to my children though – I thought I would be truthful about it. I don’t intend to let this frustrate me indefinitely though.
