Sometimes in life the unexpected happens and you can’t really be prepared for it.?? I didn’t predict this “problem” and I am not quite sure what to do about it.<\/p>\n

Yesterday was Day 1 of potty training.?? All morning and afternoon we made a million trips to the potty all to no avail.?? Last night at about 8:00 PM, Ty really wanted M&Ms and wanted to “try” again.?? Much to his surprise (you should have seen his deer in the headlight expression), a little bit trickled out!?? THAT counted so he got M&Ms!?? Thinking that was tooooo cool, he wanted to try again.?? Ready for the shocking part?<\/p>\n

Over the next hour and 20 minutes, Ty went potty ELEVEN TIMES!!!!?? I had to reward him ELEVEN TIMES!!!!?? Once he had success, he just KNEW he could do it and would patiently wait for it (which also meant I was being interuppted from LOST over and over and Jim and Tanner and I were trading off).??<\/p>\n

When I was in the bathroom, he would make me sit on the counter and look at the door.?? LOL!?? Shy bladder??? I would get impatient (my good show was being interuppted too many times) and he would say “just a minute mommy I can do it”.?? At one point I said, “Honey let’s come back in a few minutes.”?? He answers “I’ll just wait the four minutes in here”.?? Sheeeshh!?? Ty is actually quite patient.??<\/p>\n

So how much did he go all eleven times??? I would say about 1 Tablespoon, maybe 2??or more each time.?? I didn’t notice he was drinking THAT much either.??<\/p>\n

How is it possible that he could go 11 times in an hour and a half???Here are my ideas:<\/p>\n

1.?? He really did need to go but his nervous excitement made him stop\/start and never finish??? It didn’t seem like that though.<\/p>\n

2.?? He KNOWS how to stop\/start and just wanted more M&Ms? :).?? Many ADULTS can’t do that??so I really doubt that to be the case.<\/p>\n

3.?? Does Ty have a bladder problem that is just now coming to light??? Does he always go over a??period of time in just tiny amounts??? I mentioned this to Jim and he started laughing at me thinking I ALWAYS find something to worry about.?? But this IS weird don’t you think?<\/p>\n

4.?? I am sure there is an option 4 but I can’t guess what it is.<\/p>\n

So this morning he woke up and wanted to go potty right away.?? He went a small amount two times within 10 minutes and then has had many unsuccesful attempts every since and it is now 1:00.?? Today’s issue is that he wants to stay in the bathroom.?? He wanted me to eat my lunch in there (gross), he wanted me to do Tanner’s schoolwork there, he even suggested we just play with his little computer on the bathroom floor and just “wait” for it.?? :).?? I never dreamed that “I” would be begging to get out of the bathroom!?? I called Sweetie and asked if she wanted to “potty sit” awhile so I could finish school.?? She “conveniently” had other plans.?? Go figure.<\/p>\n

Break in typing – back to the bathroom “he just said he doesn’t want to go number 2 he wants to go number 6”.?? \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

I won’t “worry” about the 11 times thing yet but if he continues to do this, I will be.?? Is there some type of bladder problem that causes a person to only go in small amounts over a period of time (other than a bladder infection which I am sure he doesn’t have)?<\/p>\n

Anyone ever have this happen while potty training??? I can’t decide if it is good news or bad news.?? He WAS very excited yesterday and for awhile, he was convinced he could go on command to earn whatever snack he desired.??
