These were the best of the bunch. You’ll notice I didn’t bother cleaning the candy off Ty’s face. Awwww…but they are cute. If only they would SIT STILL.

Tanner Funny

This evening I had to run to Walmart and then go visit some family friends that were at my parents. When I told Jim I was headed over to Papa and Sweetie’s, Ty said “Can I come?”. I said “No”. He then says “Why can’t I come?”. I make my reply clear and simple – “Because I don’t want you to”. Tanner then, with a big grin on his face, looks at his brother and says “But Ty…mommy still loves you…and me.” I think Tanner grew 15 years the day Tori was born. He is suddenly an old soul and has taken on such a nurturing role – even with Ty. (But don’t ask me why he felt the need to reassure Ty that my comment wasn’t personal hee hee!)

Ty Funny

I told Jim tonight that I couldn’t work the remote to the DVD player in the kids playroom and that I keep having to hand it to Ty to work for me. Tanner then lets us know that he has the same problem with certain remote features on the big TV and he asks for help from Ty too. 🙂

Ty’s favorite phrases lately are:

“Or what?” – When I tell him not to do something, this is his usual follow up question. I have a usual follow up answer too. 😉 My mom used to tell David “I am willing to go farther than you are – believe me” 🙂 🙂 🙂 He doesn’t ask this in a onery or defiant way. Just being practical (and probably weighing his options).

“After what?” – When I tell him we are going to do something, he wants a day marker instead of a time. Example: If I tell him we are going to the park today he will say “After what?” and I will say “After lunch”. 🙂

*****

Today I gave Tori a bath and when I put her in her bouncy chair her hair was still wet. Ty walks in and says “Her hair looks FANTASTIC!” I giggled. Next thing I know Ty has a big wad of toilet paper in his hands. I, of course, want to know what his grand plans are for this stash. He says “I am going to clean up her hair.” Uh…..no I don’t think so! I am envisioning drying wet hair with toilet paper and it is not a pretty picture. Caught that one just in the nick of time.

Easter pictures were just a “no go” with my two rascals. These were the best of the bunch.
