I have some heartbreaking news to share.?? Two days ago Tanner started calling me MOM.?? Not mommy.?? MOM.?? I am fighting it a bit but I know it was inevitable.?? Doesn’t he look so grown up in that picture??? I took it with a wide aperature (2.8) so it made the grass look like a soft green wall.?? I added texture to it and now you’d never know all that green was actually grass.?? Fun.<\/p>\n

A bit about our vacation…<\/p>\n

On day 1 we left at 4:30 AM.?? When I woke up Ty, he immediately told me that I was soft and cuddly in my sweatshirt, hugged me and told me he loved me.?? Now folks…you just don’t get better than that out of a 4 year old at 4:30 AM.?? The kid even wakes up happy in the dead of night.?? (And yes – 4:30 AM IS dead of night to ME).<\/p>\n

Tori was a S U P E R H E R O baby the entire trip.?? I mean U N B E L I E V A B L E.?? She was so happy the whole time, slept well, and just enjoyed everything.?? Speaking of “enjoyed” – Ty gets a lot of mileage out of that word.?? When we were at the beach, he was mighty hesitant about the water at first but finally got acclimated and kept saying over and over (in typical Ty fashion) – “Mommy I am enjoying this!?? I enjoy the beach!”??<\/p>\n

I hope I am a joyful person who likes to use various words of the word joy a lot so lets just assume he picked that habit up from momMY. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

That first day we checked in at our SD hotel and then we went to lunch at Fat Boyzs Pizza – a favorite of ours.?? We walked and played and drove – ate dinner at Hunter’s Steakhouse (my all time favorite and they have all gone under in Phoenix) and then ended the evening with spa time.?? Sunday and Monday were spent doing much of the same and playing on the beach at Mission Bay.?? Yes it was pretty cold.?? Colder than past years but we still had a great time.?? We also had dinner at a favorite Thai place in the mall.?? MMMmmmm their coconut curry chicken over rice is awesome – especially with a mango yogurt shake and nan…but I would swear it increased in size 100 fold after I ate it.???? I also discovered on this trip that Bennigans has monte cristo sandwiches which I love!?? That was a happy find and they DO have Bennigans in Phx.?? Yippee for me.?? Can you tell I am preparing for a 2009 diet by sharing my final food memories lol?<\/p>\n

Tori has six teeth now.?? Her top two teeth broke through about two weeks ago.<\/p>\n

I love this picture of the crashing waves and blue sky. This was taken at La Jolla cove.?? Ever been there??? It is a protected cove for the seals and sea lions.?? There were about 100 on the beach when we were there.?? I’ll post that picture another day.?? We walked out on that pier but I was getting nervous about my camera.??
