I am really liking the look of off camera flash lately but I admit – it’s a hassle.?? I don’t have a vagabond system or wireless triggers yet for my alien bee so that required a long extension chord and a sync cable to drag my AB outside.?? It was (just my luck) very windy that day (which is rare in Phoenix) so Jenna had to hold my stand for me.?? Tori was everywhere so I didn’t get to spend time positioning my lighting the way I would have wanted…but all in all…I am a BIG fan of outdoor OCF.?? I still wanting some shadow for shaping but not as harsh as natural light shadows.?? I took these pictures at 2:30 PM intentionally.?? I wanted harsh daylight so I could see how much my AB would help.?? I really like this look.<\/p>\n

I need to get better at using my reflector outside to help.?? DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE MY REFLECTOR IS??? I realized a week ago it’s missing.?? It is a big circle – white on one side and zebra gold and silver on the other.?? It folds down into a small circle like a car window shade.?? Did I leave it somewhere??? I really need it!?? Aaaghhh!?? I have looked everywhere!<\/p>\n

This shot is natural light only with NO OCF.?? I only posted it for comparison sake.?? See how harsh the lighting is on her face in the middle of the afternoon without OCF??? Explaining this because Dad was asking me what I was trying to accomplish LOL.?? \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
