On May 22nd Tanner turned eight years old.?? On one hand I can’t believe how old he is getting but on the other…remembering life without children seems farther and farther away (thank the Lord).?? \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

For his eight birthday pictures I thought something very “male” was in order.?? Some friends of ours (Tom and Pam), restore historical vehicles so I asked if I could borrow their garage.?? :)?? My original intent was to take one of the cars on location (and in some ways I regret that I didn’t) but it got a little out of scope with available resources.???? My boy is looking way too old.?? He was a real trooper for this shoot.?? It was over 100 degrees out and I asked him to wear a 3 quarter length BLACK shirt and jeans. Ouch!?? He was pretty miserable but I negotiated a backagon (he is quite into backagon stuff right now – don’t ask me – I totally don’t get the things at all).?? I don’t “bribe” my kids for what I expect them to do but photo shoots for a photographer’s child are pretty much a job so I think they deserved a little incentive.?? \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

We have two weeks off school and then six more weeks until second grade is over.?? I school year round because summer’s here are soooo hot there is just no sense in having all their time off when they don’t want to go outside.???? Looking forward to third grade for Tanner and K-garten for Ty!???? As if life wasn’t busy enough already huh?!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
