I had to try it.?? :)?? Kylie’s mom is my beautician.?? I had to get my hair done last week and I remembered that Cathy had a pool so I called Kylie and told her to meet me in the backyard after my appointment so we could just play for a minute. :)?? I have seen some pregnancy water shots like these in other portfolios and I thought they had some magic to them.???? Grant it – a beautiful lake, creek, river…would have been ideal but hey – sometimes you just have to go with what you got and see what you can do with it.?? In fact, at a glance, would one be certain that the above picture was not actually taken in a lake??? 🙂

It’s almost STATE FAIR TIME!?? Wooohooooo!!!!!?? I can’t for the life of me figure out why so many people shy away from the Fair.?? Sure it has some elements of dirt and grunge but come on folks – the fried food is sooooo good!?? Jodi and I practically count down days all year until fair time.?? I am so thankful that I have a sister who is a hard core fair lover like myself.
I saw a reference to a blog post on a forum yesterday that was full of all the elements I love.?? LOVE, FAIR, OCF, bright contrasty colors!?? It was AMAZING.?? I am so inspired to try it.?? If I can pull it off, I hope that next year, I can convince some clients to let me do their shoot at the AZ State Fair!?? You can’t beat the colors and fun.???? I love the bubbles that this photographer added to the shots too – very fun!???? Jodi and I are already planning our trial day because I want to try pictures of my three kids at the fair this year.???? I am SO EXCITED TO TRY IT!?? Take a look at this guy’s work – I am giving him a standing ovation for his fair shots!?? IN LOVE.?? Note to Papa:?? I may need an assistant for this.?? Hoping I can steal you to come with us one afternoon.

WOW! Those fair shots are so cool! The colors are amazing. The dark blue sky one was gorgeous. I can’t wait to see the pictures you get from the fair with your kids. The pool shoot was fun, glad I could be a guinea pig 🙂
