On Easter weekend, Shane proposed to (my cousin) Jamie!? Woooohoooo!? She has been sporting that left finger with a pout for QUITE some time and we were all very thankful when Shane turned her frown upside down.?? I have a cute video of Jamie giving a personalized version of their engagement story but I haven’t loaded my video software back on my computer yet.? Her ROCK is ggggggoooorrrrggggeous!
The three of us took a sunrise trip for this shoot and had so much fun.?? We didn’t exactly make sunrise (which gave us some challenges in terms of lighting in the Valley of the SUN) but we gave it a worthy effort.?? My favorite thing about these pictures are the very natural interactions between the happy couple.?? They are a RIOT to be around.? When Heidi was visiting, we had a dinner date with them and Heidi and I laughed til we cried at these two.
I am so excited for these two to wed.? I was 16 when Jamie was born and she and I have always had a very tight bond.? In fact, I GET TO BE A BRIDESMAID in her wedding (and I don’t mind bragging about that).?? I got her to say her first word (which was doggy much to her mother’s dismay) and can easily say I have more pictures of her as a child than any other child short of my own babies.? She was my practice baby.? 🙂

I ABSOLUTELY ADORE SHANE AND JAMIE!!! and i love that i got to see doni falling in love with jamie so young too! i’ll never forget our senior trip and those precious “don’t be sad, don’t be scared, Jesus cares for you” faces that jamie made so sweetly! congratulations happy couple. you are beautiful people inside and out and i just feel such a bond to you. i’m so thankful i was blessed with time with you so recently. STINKS THAT I MISSED THE ENGAGEMENT FUN BY 8 HOURS! SHEEEESH! (poor me!)
jamie, though i’ve not been WITH you physically much in years, you will always be precious to my heart. i fell in love with way back when and have prayed for you on and off for years as i learned of your growing up from our family. i’m so glad your heart is tender to the Lord and that you were ready to let love and laughter into your life with shane. you are a really beautiful woman that i’m happy to know and call family.
shane, i’m really glad that God brought you and jamie together. you fit into the family beautifully. your heart was evident from day one and i am thankful you are being grafted in to the family i love so much. hey – you’re practically my brother now! 🙂 i’m glad i reminded you of doni so that you could feel natural with me when we met. you are a wonderful man who i’m sure will be good to jamie for always…. AND WHO WILL NEVER STOP CHASING HER!!! 😉 right? 🙂 DON’T FORGET OR THE REMINDER FROM COUSIN HEIDI JO WILL BE PAINFUL! 😉

Shamie & Jane…I keep slipping and calling them this! You can just tell Shane is absolutely crazy about her in these photos. They are so happy & so in lovea and so much fun to be around!!! It has been a joy watching their relationship unfold. Can’t wait for the wedding!!!!!
