How did I get so lucky?? My second senior in the last month and red hair yet again.? LOVE IT!?? Maybe I’ll work hard and create some reputation for myself for being the photographer for red heads.? Wouldn’t that be AWESOME?? 🙂 🙂 :)???? MaKenna probably could have seen the firework display of celebration going off in my eyes the minute I saw that hair.

When MaKenna’s mom sent me her check for the session fee, I noticed both of her parent’s names printed on the check and something struck a chord of familiarity.? As I thought about it, faces came to mind.?? I remembered that I went to High School (though was not aquainted with) people with those names.? I did a little investigation and sure enough…I am indeed old enough to be taking SENIOR pictures of the daughter of a couple I went to school with.???? Wow.??? More anxious then ever to have another baby next year so they are 18 years away from graduation.? 🙂 🙂 🙂

I am really enjoying High School Senior shoots.? To have a subject that WANTS their pictures taken and finds it as fun as I do – now that folks is a GOOD TIME!??? Makenna was truly fun to work with and a beauty inside and out.? I also must admit to falling in love with her younger sister Haley who I wanted to kidnap and bring home with me.??? Haley and I had some time to shoot the breeze while MaKenna was changing outfits and discovered a shared interest in photography so we agreed to work out an assistant/apprentice swap in the future if she finds that she is passionate for it.??? I love teenagers.? I really do.?? And I love this job – getting to cuddle and rock babies and chat with cool teen chics full of life and dreams.?? My idea of a day well spent.

Post processing images is also a day well spent for me.? Many photographers don’t particularly enjoy the post processing side of the job but it’s my favorite time.??? Jenna was telling me about Friday Night Lights recently so I have been watching Season 1 while I process.? (Jenna I am already on episode 16 since we last talked!)? Next month I should get to watch plenty more.? 🙂
