Meet Brinley Noelle.? She was 6lbs 4oz on her birthday but was in the 5 pound range when we did her six day old pictures.? Tiny and gorgeous sweet baby girl.? Her mama knew exactly what she wanted for this shoot and? I prayed that Brinley would cooperate with our agenda and guess what….SHE DDDDIIIIDDDD!!!!!!? Yeah!!!!

There are no hard and fast rules with newborn photography and you really can’t predict what will happen but I have observed that TYPICALLY babies in the 5 to 6 pound range sleep deeper and longer than babies in the 8 to 9 pound range.

Brinley came to my home for these pictures but we wanted some outdoor shots as well and my backyard isn’t well suited so near the end of the shoot we took a short trip and found a vacant lot that I like.? I LOVE outdoor newborn photography and hope to do more.? Arizona provides lots of opportunities for taking baby outside.? When it warms up a bit, I hope someone will let me do a full newborn session OUTSIDE.? (Maybe it will be MY baby!)? 🙂

This family has their front room decorated in aqua and chocolate so we decided to use those colors in a lot of the shots.? Blue isn’t just for boys you know.? 🙂

This is Brinley’s 2 and half year old sister.?? She had me giggling at some of the stuff she was saying.? Skyler and Tori would be very funny together.

Isn’t the tutu delicious?? It’s one of Juju’s and it’s called “Lil Sis’s Tea Party”.

Oh yes we did!? 🙂 :)? Love it when they decide to grace me with a grin.

I love the deep purple in this shot but loved it in black and white too.
