Carter Wedding – Before

So I’ll just give you a tour of the day in small increments as I go.? :)?? Yes.? Jamie wore thongs and tennies under her dress.?? Kudos need to go to (Kitty) Cat for shoe decor and Jamie’s makeup.? Cat has the best handwriting in the whole world.

We arrived at Jamie’s at 11:00 AM and I thought we would have plenty of time to prepare for a 6:00 PM wedding.? Turns out – not so much.?? Here are some shots of “before”.

This is Shauna working on Jamie’s hair.? Shauna and a friend came over for the day to do hair and they did a great job.? Shauna will be graduating from cosmotology school in May and if you are planning an upcoming event where you need some hair assistance, I would recommend her.?? When Shauna asked me how I wanted my hair, I had to pause a moment.? I wanted to look young but suggested that the teasing height of my hair should be proportionate to my age.? ;)?? When I said this, Jamie hollers from the next room to Shauna and says “Yeah!? She did all that big hair when she was in high school and she far surpassed what you would do.”?? Thanks Jamie.??? But I sidetrack…

This is Jamie being very excited about her hair.? Also note Jenna’s expression on the right.? Satisfied bride and satisfied Maid of Honor.? Sold on Shauna yet?? Ask me for her info and I’ll send it to you.? :)?? Also note the gift Jamie is holding on the right.? When Jodi got married, her favorite gift (from Belinda) was a new bible with her married name engraved on it.? Jamie wanted one too so her mama bought one for her.

This is Jamie excited over a new leopard print purse her mama bought her.

Sister Jenna (also the Maid of Honor and my most recent newborn assistant) lacing up the dress.

Just so you get the family connection – my Aunt Beck = Jamie’s mom.? :)?? Aunt Becky putting on Jamie’s necklace.? Jodi and I say “WOOT WOOT!” at this point.? (Jamie gave Jodi and I a bit of a hassle over jewelry but Jodi and I INSISTED and she finally relented hee hee).

Flower Girl Tori was not so thrilled with the beautifying process.? Aunt Jodi put the hair up and Aunt Michelle curled it.? It was absolutely darling.

Note to Jodi – just one more example of your expression when witnessing pain and misery.? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Jamie wanted a couple of pictures taken on the bridge in front of her house.

Next up will be pictures of the beautiful bride…

Aunt Beck takes beautiful pictures; every one I see of her!

I can’t wait to see the album!

  3. Oh man – I love seeing my house in the background of Jamie’s special day. I sure thank the Lord that we could be in it for her wedding day. (And Michelle, you just love me and see me through love eyes…I love “love eyes”!!!!) Heidi, I so wanted you here but having Doni take the pictures that she did you will in fact be able to feel a part of our day (as you were there in our hearts and thoughts besides!) I love all the different pics that I didn’t see you taking! I love being “surprised” by all of them. (And even though my kids tease me about my decorating so old-fashioned, it sure did make for a beautiful back-drop!!!!!) These pictures are precious. I love the sister pics and Jamie’s “surprise” expressions!

  4. I absolutely LOVE detail shots because with all the craziness in a wedding day everything just becomes a blur and i think it’s so special to be able to take in all the beauty and detail in the pictures afterward, these are amazing!! i love Jamies expressions! (she has those facial expression where you can just hear what she’s saying when you look at the picture! hahaha)

    BEAUTIFUL pictures!!!
