Lucy II {Phoenix Newborn Photography}

Aunt Beck told me this morning that she refreshed this blog yesterday a million times hoping I would post “more more more”.?? What do you expect??? It is her FIRST grand baby!???? So…for my Aunt…I will post more as I get them done so Lucy’s shots will be posted in installments.

Lucy’s first puppy that her Daddy bought for her.

I see so much of Jamie.?? Lucy definitely has her mama’s lips.

Check out those CHEEKS!?? I love profile shots because you always want to remember the shape and depth of those sweet cheeks and the shape of their sweet noses.

I just look at these and release that long “oh look at that beautiful baby sigh”.?? Know the one I mean??? Lucy’s Great Grandma made her this blanket.?? I always love to use these sweet props that were hand crafted in love by family members (and 9 out of 10 times it is a Grandma that spent those hours on the labor of love).

Speaking of family heirlooms…

This might be a bit of a touchy subject (hee hee) but I love the story here.???? Like 27ish years ago, my mother decided she would make a quilt for her niece Kelly.?? Kelly was still baking in the oven when Sweetie started this project.?? When Kelly was like, oh say about 12 years old, Sweetie decided that she kind of missed the deadline with that one and has had the quilt ever since.?? I decided that quilt needed to be used for SOMETHING so I begged to borrow it for Lucy’s shoot.???? I have kind of bonded to the thing myself because it gives me such a giggle so I kind of hope that someday I become the proud recipient of it.?? Will I have to fight Kelly for it? LOL.

Off to go have lunch with my man now.?? Enjoy my precious Aunt!

  2. OH MY GOODNESS THESE ARE SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Angela, aren’t these awesome pictures of our grandaughter?? And while I still see so much of Jamie, there is definitely our handsome Shane – and I’m so thankful, because of him I get her wonderful “strawberry” hair (ok, come on now – she has red hair like us!!!!!) I love how God created her for them yet knit her in my daughter’s womb using patterns joining us all! Thank you Father! Doni, this does my heart good and I made myself finish my church work before I would look!!! Yeah!!! Now I can look to my heart’s content. YIPEE!!!!! <3
