Go West Young Man

Last week Tanner and I were discussing forgiveness.?? I told him that when God forgives, He casts our sins as far as the East is from the West.?? Tanner asked, “But what if I go West?”???? LOL!?? I tried to answer but I was laughing too hard.?? (Blog title does not insinuate that I WANT him to head west to find out hee hee – just quoting a Smitty song).

Today, Aimee and I took Zandi and Zane into downtown Phoenix for a Grunge/Urban shoot.?? I am so anxious to start processing!?? I doubt I will get to it until later in the week but we got some goodies for sure.?? We had a super fun time but next time I really should bring a male counterpart if I am going to traipse all over downtown Phoenix.?? My gorgeous model didn’t exactly help either hee hee.?? :)?? We forgot our cell phones in the car but I was carrying a pretty heavy duty mag light in my stuff.?? ๐Ÿ™‚

Met some business owners and had to communicate by pointing and universal sign language to ask permission to shoot in some places but folks were generous (and probably amused).???? This time we ventured off the main strip (which is why having Jim or David with us would have been ideal) and?? realized Phoenix has a HEALTHY amount of grunge to offer the adventurous and driven photographer.?? I get it from my Dad.?? ๐Ÿ™‚

Note to Janelle should you happen to read this:?? Graffitti wall gets repainted every 2 months.?? We ended up picking a different spot.

Also have some pictures that I need to process of Ty’s Rod Stewart hair.?? You’ll enjoy it.?? Both Uncle Dave and Shane were disappointed today when they saw that Jim had finally cut the boys hair this weekend.

  1. Oh my gosh Doni, this has got to be another family quote – I love, love, love it! I get it Tanner, sometimes I just wanna’ go west too!!!!!!! We could even use this when they’re misbehavin’ in public as in – “do you really want to go west?” and then we can all look at each other and go “wink, wink” and know what we mean! You know, we ALL homeschool, even if you don’t realize it! Teachable moments, teachable moments. We all get them, but do we SEE them? Are we using all our moments to lead little hearts towards God? (And maybe a few big hearts as well?!)

Can’t wait to see your grunge pics (but what in the heck were you two girls thinking being in downtown Phoenix without one of the guys????)
