Sometimes a plan…

COMES TOGETHER!?? This turned out just how I envisioned it – wooohooo.?? ๐Ÿ™‚

Some time ago I saw an outdoor picture with a small child and a very dark background and I thought it magical.?? The picture included bubbles which show up nicely on black.?? I thought about how I would recreate my own version of it and came up with this.?? I love a very strong and contrasty black and white so this setup was just the look I was going for.?? These may be some of my favorite pictures of lil’ munchkin.

I think having the mix of black and the greenery gives it an otherwordly/whimsical kind of look.?? It draws you in because it’s not a combination that you typically encounter.?? Below are a couple in color.?? I liked the color versions as well but my inspiration for this was BW and I think that best suits them.?? Hope somebody else loves this look because I want to do more of it.?? Speaking of which, because I limit my bookings out of necessity with my kid schedule, I am booked in September and Oct is filling up quickly so if you were wanting to schedule this fall, you might want to do it soon because I likely won’t schedule anything end of Nov and most of December.

  1. These are breathtakeingly beautiful. You know I’m a big fan of bubble pics:). I love how you captured all the little particles floating in the air and the rays of sun in the background. So, so beautiful.

  2. Doni – book us in, reserve some dates for us. These pics are precious of Tori with that adorable head wrap and bubbles…I love it!

  3. Amazing! Love them!! I don’t know that we set a specific date, but we were going to do Micah’s the end of Sept. or beginning of Oct. Outside this time ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. i love high contrast in black and white – but not just ANY high contrast… you’ve captured the look i love VERY well… wish we lived closer and i could be your client for this look!!!

  5. These are gorgeous! I love the bubbles and the texture of the grass and how the scene falls off to the deep black background. She is so beautiful, Doni. She is looking older in these to me (sorry, Mama :)) Maybe it’s the headwrap, I don’t know. Those first two really show a foreshadowing to what a beautiful little girl she is turning into.
