As promised, pictures of Ty’s Rod Stewart Hair before Jim cut it:).
I have a new dad this week.?? He is really cool.?? Very loving and laid back.?? He has offered to cook me all my favorite meals and has run to the store in his car several times to pick up food for me.?? He takes me to the beach and Disneyland every day.?? He asks me about 50 times a day if I slept good last night.?? He also described the best way for dismembering crickets so I won’t be scared at night. (Have I ever mentioned that Ty is afraid of crickets?) ?? He offered to read me a Curious George book before bed and likes to hold my hand.?? Last night, I gained EXTRA appreciation for my loving father.?? Jim was getting after you-know-who for scattering the X-box games on top of the shelf.?? Ty said “Actually, I didn’t do that my daughter did”.?? He then came and found me and said “Daughter you messed up all the Xbox games”.
“Oh Dad!?? I am so sorry!?? I DID do that!?? Do you forgive me?”
This followed by a precious grin and a soft “Yes”.
I then went to Jim and requested that in the future, if he had a bone to pick with me, that he please allow Ty to play the Father/Daughter game and send the reprimand through Ty.?? I would FAR rather be “talked to” by Dad Ty then husband Jim.?? :)?? Jim gave me that “I bet you would grin”.?? You know the one I am talking about.
Yesterday at the breakfast table, Ty and I had a funny conversation.
Doni:?? Made Ty breakfast and handed it to him.
Ty:?? Mmmmmmm….dreamy.?? 🙂
Doni:?? Glad you like it.?? 🙂
Ty:?? Is I’m real or am I pretend?
Doni:?? Real Ty.?? Definitely Real.?? LOL.
See why Ty is the sunshine in my day??? :)?? We’d all be lost without our Ty filling our house with his contagious happiness.

he is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE! the wild hair is really fun… you definitely should have made wolverine hair with that outfit though. 🙂 love your sweeeet daddy and i SO get why new daddy is better at reprimands than same ol’ hubby. ha ha! sweet boy.
Oh that’s so true, his happiness is contagious! I LOVE his Rod Stewart hair. Let him grow it back again please!
Man, Ty is so much fun at role playing!!! He really gets into it. The other night at family night he was teasing me by calling me by one of his cousins names. This is a game that we had played AGES ago and he remembered. So I got right back into it and started calling him Graham or Zane or even Karsyn. He just smiles at me, grins and calls me Sweetie, and I of course have to grab him and start tickling him and tell him I’m his Aunt Becky! He knows that of course, we were just playing our game! 🙂 Love that Mr. Sunshine.
Hard to believe how fast he is growing up. I miss hm and I know he misses my cell phone. Give him a squeeze for me.
