9 hours later, Tori has been transferred to another hospital so she can see 3 specialists tomorrow. Tori was in decent spirits after the hospital gave her some apple juice and graham crackers. Tori was in better shape than I had expected a 23 month old to do with the gamut of things done to her today. The bottom line is the doctors at the first hospital had no idea what is wrong with Tori. They ruled out a few things and were stumped. So the decision was made to move her to another hospital with specialists. Tomorrow tori is supposed to see a Urologist, Hematologist and Oncologist and whatever gist wants to join along I’m sure. Where’s House when you need him? After 2 sets of tests to confirm the first wacky results the conclusions were very similar. Her white blood count is low and her blood platelets are low. To top it off she wasn’t urinating today so they had to put a catheter in and an iv. White blood count was 4.6 where 6 is the “safe” low. Her blood platelets were 90 where 150 -400 is normal. Hopefully we hear some good news tomorrow. Please pray for Tori and family. Best case scenario we’re home Monday, but Mommy is going to be worn out. Now it’s midnight, I’m packing necessary items for Doni and Tori and then heading back to the hospital to bring some dinner. Praise Jesus through this storm.

Well said Jim. We are all praying and we have had so many asking how they can help. Things like this are too big for us – but we have a big God and I am thankful that we can run to His arms and ask His care. We love you all. Aunt Beck
Praying praying! Jesus direct the doctors, give them insight. I pray peace for Mom and Dad and all those who love them. Touch and heal our sweet Tori. In Jesus name! Amen!
Jim and Doni, George and I will pray fervently for Tori and all of you. May God give the doctors the wisdom needed to isolate the source of her distress leading to healing.
Keeping that sweet girl in our prayers.
Tori will be in my prayers. I hope there are answers soon. (((hugs)))
Jim and Doni, my family and I will be praying for both Tori and the family! I will also ask friends and church members to pray too. Thank you Jesus for Tori and her family; please be with them now and bring them peace and comfort. Father, please heal Tori from whatever is causing her to be sick. Please be with the doctors and give them wisdom. Please send doctors who are compassionate, loving, and please guide them in every decision, every detail of her care. Amen.
good way to end that post Jim… i spoke to doni moments ago – not that she knows much more this morning than last night… but she is drained isn’t she? i’m glad she’s got YOU. i’ll be praising on behalf of BOTH of you right now as i know some moments you’ll be too drained to do so yourselves. i’ll be asking for Father’s mercy with my own Mama heart too… hang on brother… you are being held up in hearts across the country.
ps -jim – if there is anything i can do, please let me know. i have already taken over doni’s facebook acct so if you want me to post updates or requests just let me know. it’s not much, but i’ll help how i can.
I just heard about Tori from my Grandma (Ruth Kopec). I will be praying for that sweet little girl and your entire family.
All of you are in my thoughts and prayers today, especially precious Tori. Prayers that the doctors find the problem and that she is on the mend very, very soon.
We will definitely be praying for all of you!!!
Will definitely be praying for you all and for the doctors to have wisdom to figure out what is going on with Tori.
You are all at the top of my prayer list today. Lifting you all up to Him.
Praying for Tori, the family and the doctors!
Have not checked on you in a while. Was very shocked to see that your beautiful daughter is sick. I will be praying without ceasing for everyone–especially all the specialists who are working on Tori. God be with you all.
I just logged onto my computer and saw that Tori is in the hospital. I’m PRAYING for you all. May God give you strength, peace, rest. Praying for your boys as well. Hospital stays of any variety are difficult, but it is so hard when they don’t know what’s up with your little one – this I know from experience. Thankfully God knows all.
God bless you!! Kari
Doni called to say Tori is improving to the point they are removing the cath and IV and IF she can urinate normally and her blood work continues to improve they MAY release her on Saturday.
