Last night Jodi was driving on the 101 near 59th avenue and was hit from behind. She was talking to Darin on the phone at the time and the phone flew into the back seat. All Darin could hear was Jodi screaming. Thankfully, Jodi was driving their big truck. The man that hit her, kept driving until he was forced to pull over because Jodi’s trailor hitch had injured his engine to the point that his car quit. Once he could not escape in his vehicle, he got out and starting running. Later the police caught him. He was drunk.

Jodi was taken to the hospital by ambulance. While she had no apparent injuries, she was starting to have contractions every 3 minutes. Karsyn was in a head down position and the accident shifted her sideways. They put her on tributalene and the contractions stopped. So far so good. Jodi is home and doing fine and Karsyn seems to be fine too.

Please pray for both of them that they will both continue in good health. Jodi is now 32 weeks with Karsyn and we are not wanting any more babies to arrive early!!! Thanking the Lord that He kept them safe!

CORRECTION: Karsyn was actually moved into a head down position by the accident – not sideways. Actually worked to Jodi’s benefit! She is now officially IN position:) Jodi has a few minor contractions this morning but she took it easy today and seems to be doing fine. Needless to say, being in a car at all is scary for the moment…pray that she will be able to rest in God’s sovereignty through the remainder of her pregnancy.
