Well whatda ya think?? Is he gorgeous or what?? I didn’t get to take his after bath pictures because it was going to be 2:00 AM before he came back from the nursery so you don’t get to see his hair (or lack thereof) but it looks VERY blond to me.? He is so fair you can barely make out eyebrows and eyelashes.? His eyes seem to be a light newborn shade as well so I suspect he will get his mama’s eyes (which Aunt Sissy was HOPING for).? Hard to say though because Ryker and Karsyn’s eyes are green but light.
Jodi arrived at the hospital at 4:00PMish yesterday and wasn’t “sure” if she was in labor.? Just wasn’t feeling well and felt pressure.? She was dilated to 5 so even though Cooper was at 37.6 weeks, they decided to just go for it.? I arrived at 5:30PM and Cooper showed up within 4 hours.? NOT BAD!? :)? I don’t want to give all the details of Jodi’s birth story (that his her story) but I will say that while I don’t think this birth was as easy as Ryker’s, Jodi and Cooper did awesome.? Darin DID make it to the birth – he headed back from Showlow the minute Jodi suspected.? Darin, Jennifer (Jodi’s sister) and I were in the room with her.? Darin coached her and I filmed.? :)? I am so thankful that I have had the opportunity to be present when two of my nephews were born.?? Such a moving experience to say the least.
I forgot to bring my speedlight (ggrrrr) so I was shooting at an ISO of 1000 (horror of horrors for me hee hee) but I will be doing a newborn shoot next week so I didn’t sweat it.? :)? I did a quick process to get these up and converted a lot to BW because – birth pictures are just supposed to be black and white.? 🙂

Ryker left and Cooper right.? The most significant difference is the coloring.? Ryker had more hair and it was darker.? Cooper is also a bit more filled out being almost a full pound bigger than Ryker.
The kids loved him!? Karsyn was a total baby hog.
As usual, feel free to ooooohhh and aaaahhhhh over my nephew.? He is grandkid number 12 for Papa and Sweetie!

Doni, as usual your pics are FANTASTIC!!!! Love them all, the black and white of the kids and Darin looking at Cooper are PHENOMENAL…..what a way to capture the moment. I totally agree on the coloring…..he will be so amazingly handsome with Jodi’s coloring. Not that he would have been any less with his two parents…LOL 😉

Love, love, love all the images. I loved seeing everybody just beaming at the baby and at each other. What a happy day for your whole family. These images are treasures. I’m a softie, so you know I cried from being happy for you all and from remembering those amazing days when my own babies were in my arms for the first time. Then, I showed these to Derek and he teared up, too – and that’s really saying something!
