The many faces of Tori Savannah…
Picture above on right posted for Liza.? She confiscated your light meter.? Isn’t she developing her skills nicely?
Then I took the light meter away as any good mom (and friend) would do.? This is how she felt about that.
She then required a sippy cup, George, and her pony for comfort.
Phrases:
“Push Bellies” – Tori’s word for push ups.? She gets into a crawl position and lowers her belly – thus push bellies.? Makes sense.
“Go away.? Stop dat.? No bunny.”? – Typical comment to Tanner.? No bunny means not funny.
“Bee bops” – Flip flops
Yesterday I went to put her in bed while she was still building her block tower and she said “Mommy hold on!”
“Oh yeah baby” – Ty said she learned that from The Incredibles.? :)? That’s what she said when I asked her if she wanted something at dinner the other night.
***
I have tried to teach the kids to wash their fruit in the sink before they eat it.? This backfired on me when Tori brought me a banana covered in wet toilet paper.? GROSS!? I can only assume she washed the banana in the toilet because it was easier.
***
Ty has learned (and is misusing) the word “accidentally”.? He told Tanner that he “accidentally” played his DSI.? “Accidentally” took a picture with it.? “Accidentally” (get this) recorded his voice.? Accidentally?? Really?? What an out of body experience that must have been to make a recording of all your silly sounds and later wonder how in the world it happened.? Interesting.
Later, when he had “accidentally” thrown Tori’s baby and it hit her on the head on its descent, mama “accidentally” put him to bed a bit early.
Tori wasn’t making my life any easier that day.? She does nothing on “accident” – it’s all quite purposeful.? I found her standing on the bathroom counter holding a pair of SCISSORS that she had got down from the TOP shelf of the medicine cabinet.? There is no such thing as “out of her reach”.? I had a mild panic attack over that incident.
Maybe she was looking for a tool to help Ty make a bedroom jail break.? I have to wonder because a little later I saw her running across the house with a bottle of water that she was bringing to Ty in his isolation.? Next thing I knew, she was running again with a box of crouton’s in her hand.? Everyone knows that prisoners require bread and water – even Tori.? What a sweet little sister.? She is well aware of Ty’s love affair with croutons.
He had asked me when I sent him to bed if Tori could come in with him.? It was one of many moments in my day where I was stuck trying to avoid his question.? The trouble is, I tend to hang myself when I give Ty direct answers.? No, I didn’t want Tori in the bedroom entertaining him while he was timed out (nor did I want her bringing him food).? On the other hand, Tori always follows Ty into his confinement and if I made a point to say “NO” then I was going to have to babysit that.? I was watching Brett Michaels win Celebrity Apprentice (and I was happy because he was my pick) and I didn’t want to have to pull her out of there every five seconds.? Raising kids takes a lot of work doesn’t it?? (This event happened a bit ago – did I already post this?)
**********
Did I ever post this?? That Ty says “hala-jah-lettuce” for “hallelujah”?? ๐
*********
And while I was processing the pictures above, a little person crawled into the chair behind me.? Something felt oddly sticky.? I turned my head and came nose to nose with this:
This is Eucerin (Tori is looking at this picture while I type and she is singing “Tori Cweeaam? Tori Cweeaaam? Tori Cweeeamm? Cweaaam Cweeam”.? It was 9:30 PM.? Only 30 minutes from bedtime before disaster struck.? We almost made it.? But.? Not.? Quite.

Oh my, Oh my, I have no idea how you keep up!!!!! Love all her faces…she is so fun!!!
Doni maybe she is getting it all out of her system now and will be the one that says out of trouble later! I believe those sweet little boys will help her do that too! I bet she makes for an intresting day, not so boring in the Brinkman household! Beautiful pictures even the temper ones ๐
She is adorable! I love all of her expressions because she has so much personality in each and every one of them!
This Great Aunt happens to love and giggle over every incident! These pictures of Tori are so adorable and of course you “captured” her in all her hilarious personality pouring out!!! This child cracks us up (as does Ty greeting his grandfather quite proudly and loudly when he came up to preach with a resounding….”Hi Papa!” It sort of stopped and melted your dad’s heart!!) I know that all of you girls get tired and might not think these adorable “messes” quite as cute as we do – but OHHHHH THE MEMORIES THEY ARE MAKING!

You have many Friday night family night conversations ahead of….”remember when Tori kept sneaking me water and croutons!” Though everything else fall away – that which is precious remains…each other!
I love ALL of Tori Savannah’s faces….Eucerin and all, LOL!!!
What a beautiful little girl!! Goregeous pictures!
Tori, absolutly beautiful. LOVE LOVE LOVE the pictures. ๐
I love all her faces, she is so gorgeous!
i am ever falling more in love with my nephews and niece. how lucky am i to have gotten to know them so well for myself this year. (and how did i miss the love affair with croutons? hmmm…) i have seen tori sidling up to ty in time out in first person – so sweet. it’s nice to have a sister to join you making jail time all the easier to get through. ๐ i love those children – i do i do i do.
i read aunt beck’s reply and it moves me to think that even on your MOST FRUSTRATING and EXHAUSTING day of parenting, you, my dear sister, are even then rejoicing that you have children to cause such exhaustion!!! i often think that too… to have a child to frustrate me more than i thought it was possible to be frustrated… to tire me more than i thought i could tire and still live… oh… and to soak up the love that is rushing more than i even knew it could rush out of me. ๐
Your kiddos are hilarious Doni… and you are the best mom for seeing that! Most of us have a knee jerk reaction of “you washed the banana in WHAT?” and “you put WHAT all over your face??” and “WHAT??!!!” ๐ Love the photos of Tori… especially the tantrum ones… those should definitely make her wedding video montage someday! were these taken with the 85? So creamy… {heart}. The last black and white one of her is gorgeous! ๐ xoxo
