Update on Tanner going to DC

I’ll try and keep this brief. Doni and Tanner arrived safely after having a great plane ride on Sunday and then had a great time seeing some sites around the area. Today Doni and several other couples interviewed with Good morning America and Peter Jennings World View. Maybe some of these interviews will be aired tomorrow. We don’t have any word whether or not they would be aired and if so what time it may be, sorry. Tomorrow Doni and some of the other snowflake families are speaking at a press conference which may get some air time @ 10:30 AM EST. The President is due to then speak on the subject from the rose garden @ 2:30PM EST. Doni had no news on if either would be aired. Hopefully this will get some air time so more of the public can be made aware of the facts. Let’s pray that this week the Holy Spirit can soften peoples hearts so they can see the truth. There’s a saying “I’ll see it when I believe it” that comes to mind here in these current times(No I am not dyslexic, and it wasn’t a Freudian slip). Well, I will post an update tomorrow night also, but as most of you know I tend to get long winded and I better stop now or I’ll be here writing all night and it’s already late. We’ll just have to wait and see if we can pry some details out of Doni when she gets back to posting. ๐Ÿ™‚ I think this week will help Doni come out of her shell.

  1. Jim,
I think you can rest assured that YOUR readers will be very pleased with your note (oh so loooong-winded – paaaalease!) do tell more more more as soon as you know anything.

I have cspan on now – they are talking about energy bill now and while they vote a reporter is commenting on stem cell research and the different types. I’m listening carefully now!

  2. Thanks Jim! I read about one Snowflake family from Houston in my local paper this morning. It was an AP report from DC. I’m keeping my eyes and ears open. Heidi Jo, put a tape in the recorder if you see anything! And Tanner, if you can hear me whispering to you in Washington from waaaaay over hear in Mississippi….go for it w/ the snake! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. JIM SPEAKS!!!!!!!!! Bout time he got some air time on the web site. LOL

While hes there, maybe Tanner can help train our millitary leadership using some of his Star Wars Battlefront Skills.

I vote that while Jimmy updates we change the colors on the website to camo ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. noon texas time – cspan is covering adult/umbilical stem cell research now… but some members are bringing up embryonic stem cell research too…but will be covered more later.

  5. 1245 texas time – now debating hr 810! may God stir the hearts of men to do what is right by protecting life.

  6. THAT WAS AWESOME!!! Jim, you must feel so proud, nothing like having your wife and son standing behind the President on tv during the whole news conference AND announcing his b-day! Thank you God for President Bush’s stance. Don’t worry I have it taped in case anyone would like a copy!

  7. You look fantastic, Doni!

THANK YOU SO MUCH for standing up for these precious babies. Tanner is a great reminder of their value and worth.

Question — Was Tanner more excited about a birthday party with the President of the United States or a Shear Shactor party?

  8. Just a note, whitehouse.com is a pornographic site…make sure you go to whitehouse.GOV ๐Ÿ™‚

How exciting to hear the President stand up for life…and actually say Tanner’s name, that is cool ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. I would just like to say what you are standing for is increible. Not only are you standing up for those babies but you are making a stand in value. My husband and I have been trying hard to get preganant and have failed. We have not done all the procedures that have been spoken of by of doctor so a chance still remains. But I would like to still think that if we need to go in this direction the option would be open. Considering what we would be doing is giving life!

  10. Jim you are the best! I was so happy to see that you’re posting for Doni while she’s away. What a good man! I Miss you guys! Im so happy that Doni and Tanner were able to take this amazing opportunity. Im sure Ty is keeping you busy while they’re away. : )

  11. Doni & Tanner, we are so proud of you! We both got tears in our eyes when we saw you today. What a testimony you have made. The Lord has given you such an incredible open door to stand for what is right (and you always do it so well!) We are behind you 100%. And Jim,you are one awesome husband. Hope you are having fun with Ty & daddy time this week! Love ya, David & Aimee

  12. jim IS an awesome husband!!!

i too watched with teary eyes – amazed at what the Lord has done in this opportunity… the way He’s prepared doni and this family for years and years… and to think this is only part of the journey! there will continue to be great opportunities to come no doubt.
