Apparently I greatly offended my brother David last week by posting a complete attendance record of who attended family night. As a point of fact, David and Aimee and the kids were not there. When I walked in the door yesterday he asked me to make sure I wrote his name down this time and I had no idea what he was talking about. He then referenced last week’s “list”. His absence from our family gathering was published for all the world to see and he figured if I was going to be keeping track of attendance he wanted to make sure his name got on this weeks list. So just for my dear David…here is the official attendance record for last night’s gathering:
Grammy Rene
Papa
Sweetie
Uncle Dave
Aunt Beck
Jenna
Jim
Doni
Tanner
Ty
Daniel
Noah
Graham
DAVID
AIMEE
ZANE
ZANDI
Jarrod
Darin
Jodi
Karsyn
Missing: Rob, Brooke, Dusty, Aviel, Jamie
Happy now David?
Sheeeeeeeeeshhhh!!!!
Now that I have done my duty, I will post something that Darin said yesterday about David that I found quite appropriate. We were discussing Tanner’s speech patterns and how it is difficult for him to converse in full phrases without getting frustrated. My Uncle pointed out that it is likely because Tanner thinks faster than he can speak (I think he may have a good point). Darin than said (and I quote) “David has exactly the opposite problem. He speaks faster than he thinks!” LOL (Heidi – in reference to our conversation last week about the blue van I bet I get a loud “hear hear” from you!)
One of my favorite quotes is “Those who talk too much often say things they haven’t thought of yet”. LOL. And yes, I know, I am inviting trouble with that one. Is this going to turn around and be a “log eye” issue?
David – you provide your sister with hours of entertainment. My life would not be the same without your influence and I adore you. I also appreciate all the writing material you provide. LOL.

I’M LAUGHING SOOOO HARD – OOOUUT LOUD – SO MUCH SO THAT SETH HAD TO COME IN FROM WATCHING HIS MOVIE (he was engrossed enough in it to have the glazed cartoon eye) TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON!!!!!!!!!! oh my goodness…. i hear you loud and clear and second this comment by darin!
Too funny! You know it is just a matter of time before he (David) will have to comment. Maybe I can encourage him to think before he writes (ha, ha!!).
Good luck sister dear:)
I am putting that quote on my classroom board TODAY. I remember dealing w/ “mouth over brain” w/ my first born. I was terrified that he was having speech problems and was determined to seek help. Good thing a speech therapist sat behind us in church at the time. She assured me it was “mouth over brain” syndrome and to give it time….he simply had to let his brain catch up w/ his mouth. He was talking faster than his little head could keep up with. Sure enough…it got better as he got older. But ya know what, I think we all deal w/ “mouth over brain” even as we mature…some more than others.
Aimee, How could you. Isnt it possible that I both think and talk faster than the rest of you. It is my belief that you are all threatened by my wisdom. Want proof! I will play Doni 1on1 halo while speaking very fast and WIN.
Bet you she won’t take that challenge.
