Is it possible Ty is trying to talk? I think he said "encyclopedia!" LOL! He tries to interact so much I do think he will be an early talker. Three times now I have noticed him trying to say "mmmmm ma" when he was clearly wanting me. Could be ironic but I would like to think we are heading in the right direction.
We have also had a setback this week! Ty is refusing solid food entirely. Several days ago I gave him chicken noodles (baby food) in his cereal bottle. He hated it. I have not managed to get him to take ANYTHING from his cereal bottle since. I have tried and tried but he will fake a gag everytime you even get it near his mouth. Soooo dramatic. I went back to completely bland rice cereal and he won’t even try it. Out of frustration, I stuck him in the high chair and put tiny bits of food on his tray to see if he would try feeding himself. I started with Cheerios. He would pick one up and suck on it but he won’t let it go! If I put it in his mouth he makes all kinds of faces and tries to get it out. This has been concerning me because I have been weaning him off his digestive drugs since he was taking baby food and now that he has refused food again, are we going to get reflux issues back??????? I am not worried about him "not eating" because he is still young enough to be fine with the bottle but I am worried about the digestive issues. I don’t know what I am going to do and this child is S T U B B O R N! So far he is winning every match.
I had a "treasure moment" with both boys this week. Ty was sleepy so I sat on the front room floor and rocked him to sleep listening to Celine Dion’s Miracle album. (This is the BEST lullably album on the planet. Sleep Tight makes me cry every time). This is feeling deja vu ish? Did I write this already?
Anyhow, Tanner sat down beside me and just rested his head against my shoulder. Ultimately, I laid Ty on the floor beside me and put Tanner on my lap where he nestled comfortably for a long time (this does NOT happen often with 3 year olds). I told him all about why baby Jesus came to earth and when both boys were quiet (or asleep) I sat with tears in my eyes thinking that I would never forget that moment. Sitting in front of the Christmas Tree cuddling both my boys. It just doesn’t get better than that.

Just saw your December pictures. Where do you find the time!?! Each one is more precious than the one previous. Now please tell me, it looks like Tanner absolutely adores his little brother or is it that he is just a photographic showoff? LOL His smile reaches right into his eyes, and you have made a wonderful job of capturing it. Want to come to sunny Greece and photograph my little one? LOL
Doni,
I check your website daily and gain so much from you! I have two daughters. Emma is almost 4 and Madeline is 9 months. After reading about Celine’s Miracle album I decided to buy it for Madeline for Christmas. I have always loved Celine and after years of infertility and miscarriage I was able to have my first daughter just 10 days before she had her son (as I am sure you know she also had infertility issues) I have always loved her music and knew I would love this new CD. It is absolutely beautiful and I have been playing it for Madeline each day before her naps and before bed each night. I really wanted to mention to you another lullaby album that is wonderful. It is the one that Emma listens to each night as she falls asleep. It is Michael Card’s “Sleep Sound In Jesus”. The songs and lyrics are amazing and if you don’t have it, you must buy it!! Take care, Happy New Year and Thank you! Marylee
