About three weeks ago, it was time to restock the chickens and ducks at the ranch. We do some restocking after dog, snake and hawk attacks. Our only hen, Connie and our duck, Guy were seemingly getting a bit lonley. And after Connie started laying an egg a day, I decided we needed more layers. Noah and Graham and I took a trip to the local feed store to pick out chicks and maybe one more duck to keep Guy company.
After almost a month of living unharmed we thought that our new little duck, now named Mushu, was ready to be integrated with Guy and Connie. After much running, chasing and squawking, we finally caught Mushu and introduced him (it might be a her, but we don’t know yet:)) to its fellow pen mates. The next morning to our dismay Mushu was missing all its back feathers and was hiding under the laying boxes. After much running, chasing and squawking we relocated poor little Mushu back to its original secluded pen. Noah was so upset at Connie and Guy, that I found him pointing his little finger at both of them and talking to them very sternley. He continued to call Guy the bad duck all day. When Daniel came home I told Noah to tell Daddy what had happend to Mushu and what he had told Guy earlier. Noah proceeded to to tell us that Mushu lost his back, but it would come back to him, he then told Guy hat if he every hurt Mushu again, he’d take him back to the feed store and put him the cage with the giant wizard (Lizard)!! Ranch life has certainly taught Noah who eats who!

What should also be noted is that Noah is the one who primarily names all these animals. Isn’t he so imaginative? We will have WAY too much fun with Brooke’s postings because Noah is a barrel of laughs! He is three and Graham is one so we have quite a few years of great kid stories ahead of us! Loved your last line Brooke LOL!
