This morning my friend Heather sent me a weblink to watch a 30 second news clip that had me crying my eyes out. This is so incredibly precious. I guess it has been all over the news but being a mommy with little tv time, I hadn’t seen it. This is so moving it is definitely worth watching. I am sure the movie will be out in the next few years and I will be happy to recall when I first saw the real deal.
(*Spoiler Alert 🙂 This clip is of a teenager with autism who is the Manager for his High School Basketball team. The last game of the season the coach allowed him to suit up. NO one would believe what happened next and you get to see it with your own eyes.)

i’m am overcome with tears and joy for that boy! what a precious gift he had been given that day – AND that he gave to his teamates and community! oh what a VERY happy story! i’m copying you and posting a link on my site too… that is just awesome.
This was and is such a great story for parents of young autistic children to see. As a mother of 4 year old autistic twins it did my heart good to see all the press on this story and gave me and my husband great hope for our boys future.
As a side note. Last week on the news it showed this young man meeting President Bush. President Bush wanted to meet him because he was moved to tears himself when he saw the story.
I am at work crying! I guess they do show some good on the news. I don’t usually watch the news because it is always so negitive. I guess Disney has already been calling! What a great story! Jere’
