Yes Mam

I have been telling ya’ll for awhile that Ty is a “Yes Mam” boy (not that it means much…sigh). Tonight he threw his sippy cup for the upteenth time and when I gave him the “look”, he just started repeated his Yes Ma’ms. He is so stinkin adorable when he does this that I knew I had to capture it on camara. So…now you can see for yourself :). When Grandmother’s are in the room they are hiding their face because they can’t keep up the stern pretense listening to his Yes Mam dialogue.

For the record, yes I was baiting him to continue the “yes mam’s” because I was filming HOWEVER Ty is so OCD he gets in a word rut and repeats phrases like this 50 times anyhow. This is typical behavior. He repeats “yes mam” over and over until he thinks I am “past” the offense. He gets a little tired of his own repetition in the video and you’ll notice that he breaks a second and asks for his “toos bwush”.

This is a perfect little video moment because it captures the kind of dialogue that Ty and I have all the time. ๐Ÿ™‚

P.S. – I know I sound like the proverbial mean mom in this video but I had to keep my tone VERY serious or he would think he was totally off the hook and been too distracted by the video camara (which he loves) and I wouldn’t have been able to capture his “heartfelt remorse” Ha!!!

  3. It is just adorable that he can be so bad and SOOO cute all at once. These are the fav. moments of motherhood…when you can take the learning process of your child and turn it into entertainment. We have plenty of events throughout our busy days when you can’t do anything else but laugh….cause the only other option would be to freak out after they have committed such a “crime”. You are great to catch the real moments of life on video and to share with us….Thank You.

  4. Doni – I got tears in my eyes while watching this because I was thinking about how far he has come. What an amazing little boy and an amazing journey he has had, eh? To be learning to talk and to be such a little boy (no longer a baby) is such a gift and a miracle. Thanks for sharing these moments with us!
