Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day To Me

Took me forever to get just a few pictures of the boys together in their Easter outfits. I don’t look forward to this job because getting them both to focus just makes me nuts. I have more of these “May Boy” pictures posted in the May Photo Album. I was trying everything to get them both to give me natural grins. Nothing was working. Finally I had no choice but to pull out my last stop. I had to pretend that I was throwing up. WHY OH WHY do boys think that is funny!!!!!! It is so NOT funny! Sheeesh!

P.S. Outdoor pictures are tough for Tanner because he is very light sensitive. Thus the squinting. Try explaining to a 4 year old how NOT to squint.

  1. Ohhhhhhhhhh, what cutie-patooties! Why does it look like to me Ty is going to be bigger than little Tanner….?? And don’t even “go there” with the smiling. UGH! Drives me up the wall! I too have to do something dorky/obnoxious to get them ALL to smile, naturally at that (these fake smiles are really testing me:), & that’s not an easy task when trying to hold the camera at the same time! Obviously you are smart & use a tripod! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Right now we are sitting at Landens neurologist appointment waiting to be seen, so I thought I would take a minute and get caught up with my emails and such.
As soon as the boys pictures came up I showed then to Landen and he smiled and started to clap. Guess you won over his approval along with everyone else’s. They look great. I love Tanners hair and Ty’s smile. WOW! What handsome little gentlemen Jim and you have.

  3. Sorry Doni – I think fake puking is funny too:) Maybe not laugh out loud funny or maybe not even chuckle to myself funny. Humorous? Okay, you’re right, its not funny at all.

You’re boys are two cute. Their smiling so good;)

  4. Too cute, Doni! You always get the greatest pictures! You should post some tips sometime!

Our baby boy is due June 6 and I can’t wait to see him!

Can I steal your blog for a moment and ask if you or any other ladies have an idea for a first Father’s Day present for my hubby? He has been so wonderful through the infertility and pregnancy and I’d like to get him something special, but I don’t know what! Any ideas would be very much appreciated!

  5. OH MY GOSH THEY ARE GORGEOUSS!!!!!!! YOU DID A GREAT JOB CAPTURING THOSE SMILES! you know, seth thinks it is SOOO funny too – how did i not remember that for pictures? i must remember.

(by the way – if i’d have SEEN you doing that for your boys i’m SURE i would have laughed too – haha!)

  6. i can tell you doni’s #1 photography tip ๐Ÿ˜‰

TAKE 100 PICTURES AND YOU’LL END UP WITH 12 REALLY GOOD ONES AND 3 YOU ADORE. ๐Ÿ™‚ hee hee…

(next to that, a great digital camera helps, natural light, and a good eye – doni is just a natural with her eye for a good shot – i’m not sure you can teach that in school – she’s just something) ๐Ÿ™‚
