So the fun continues…I just can’ t let things alone this week :). Besides makeing over my site, I want you to know I also have cleaned my house and my laundry is almost done – that was quite a project 🙂 . Didn’t want you to think I was sitting in front of a computer all day :).
I’ll write a “real” post soon but I want to finish what I started first.
You will notice that my front page menu changed to include the word “Blogs”. Under the Blog Menu is: Mama’s Diary (this blog), TYny Ty (Ty’s NICU diary), and the Polls.
The TYny Ty Blog was the new addition. I moved all his NICU blog entries into their own blog for easier reference. Too bad I didn’t have it like that when he was first born so I could have kept all the comments with the dates – that would have been so nice!
Now I am working on some portfolio slide shows to put in the pictures gallery. Not sure I’ll finish today because Heidi talked me into a pressure cooker so I know of at least one errand that is going to interupt my day.
Ty’s calling me from his crib so I am off to my mommy duties now.

equally as important though is that wacom graphire pen/tablet… seriously – jim NEEEEDs it for your, er uh, HIS father’s day present. 😉 (hey, in standard jim style that WOULD be appropriate you know! after all, you’re only trying to make things easier on him by handling all the graphics side of things with the site – we know it would be an awful lot of trouble for him to have to do both the technical AND graphics side of things.. just trying to help you Jim, just trying to help.)

Jim say’s “Your work is already so good why do you think you need a pen to make it better? Aren’t you completely satisified with what your getting with a mouse? How would this improve anything? Most graphic artists still use a mouse for fine control and not the pen. I think you would fine that you have less control with the pen. It’s a lot of money to purchase the same results you are already getting….but….if you want it as a gift…….

jim is crazy… i think he’s trying to get you to waterski barefoot. 😉 professionals do NOT use mice for FINE DETAILS! AINT NO WAY! (would you like ot email my PROFESSIONAL GRAPHIC ARTIST COUSIN? AND HER SISTER?)
Ok, let me ask Mitchman about this. They do all photography (for example, Tuesday Morning) & my brother-in-law does all the editing, etc. I’ll find out if he uses the mouse or a pen. I really should know the answer already, but I don’t! I’ll be interested to find out too. 🙂
Rick didn’t know what a pen is…LOL He’s so set in his way anyway I don’t know if he doesn’t know or doesn’t want to know! Either way as long he gets my banner done soon for my site, be it mouse or pen 🙂
Doni~ I’ve been messing with pictures all week. I’ve decided I need different software or I need to use Rick’s computer. He has Photoshop 9. I have Mircosoft Digital Imaging Standard. Hmmmm who got the better deal here?
Doni….my email has been down for a while now…I can check emails, but I cant send anything out and that is really cramping my style of communication as of right now. Wow I realized that I dont talk to half of my “”FRIENDS”” we just email and chat that way!!! Sorry I haven’t gotten back sooner w/ an update and a very big THANK YOU to everybody for the prayer request and prayers I have been very self indulged w/ my life the past few weeks , but those prayers were very much helpful to my heart. Its amazing what Gods plan is sometimes, and how long it takes you to remember that he loves you and if you are hurting he is also hurting just as badly as you.

(one more thing.. now that jim works so close to home… i think he’d find that riding a bicycle to work really does work much better -he can avoid so much traffic and the wind through his hair really will cool him down more than, let’s say, oh… the a/c of a car or even the 60 miles an hour he’d reach on the motorcycle…. oh yes, i think a bicycle would really give him great results and make his life easier and more fun.

Thought I would take a chance and see if there was any new updates and got the BIG surprise. I LOVE the picture slideshows. Wow, your talent amazes me. You did a wonderful job. I will defiantly have no other choice than to continue to bug you about those Christmas pictures now that I have seen so much more of the way you can catch the perfect moment.

Ok, got an answer from Mr. Mitch (regarding the pen). Here’s his reply:
“The color guys use the pen, the production guys use the mouse”. LOL! In our terms, the guys who do this professionally use the pen, the guys who edit but aren’t quite a “good” use the mouse. So, there ya go! 🙂
sounds like those more graphically/drawing/design minded use the pen… for basic computer work, the mouse (which i use for most things when i’m typing as it’s easier to let go of the mouse to type or go back and forth than with the pen, finding the holder, etc.)
