Jolley Family

For over 2 years now, I have on occasion talked about Ty’s little NICU buddy Landen. As you may remember, Landen was a 28 weeker and was in the isolette across from Ty. His baby brother Ryan was conceived shortly after Landen got home from the NICU. When Ryan was barely a month old he contracted RSV and it is by the grace of God that he survived that. So many of you were praying for Ryan and we were so grateful. Landen is Jolley kid number 5 and Ryan number six.

The Jolley family has had more trials and tribulations than few could ever wrap their minds around. I know I can’t. While Landen’s NICU journey seemed easier than Ty’s, Landen’s hardships began after leaving the NICU. Landen has been experiencing seizures and has a mild cerebral palsy diagnosis as well. He is a little fighter though and he is cute as all get out! Those big blue eyes melt me.

Tonight though I bring another sibling to your attention to ask for your loving prayer support. His four year old brother Jacob. Both Jacob and older sibling Rachel (age 6) both have Cystic Fibrosis. There is no known cure YET for Cystic Fibrosis and ultimately it is a terminal condition. No one can say though how long the lifespan will be of a cystic fibrosis patient. Some have lived into adulthood and we have high hopes for both Jacob and Rachel.

Right now though, Jacob’s cystic fibrosis is affecting his pancreas and he has developed a serious infection. Without going into too many details (because his mommy shares specifics in her postings), the Jolley family is getting ready to take Jacob to Utah for a radiation treatment. Please pray that this cutting edge treatment will take care of this infection. We want this little guy with us for MANY MANY years to come. We know God is able.

Obviously money is tight and insurance doesn’t cover so many of the expenses that the Jolley family has incurred with various medical issues. If the Lord lays it on your heart to help this family in anyway, you can view information on how to make contributions to Jacob’s medical care via Susie’s blog.

Thank you for your prayers – it will make a difference in eight lives.
