Troy – Day 19 – July 13th

When Jim and I married (17 years ago Sept 16th), we didn’t have much money or vacation time for much of a honeymoon (in fact, Jim and I have still not taken a trip alone together in more than 10 years – someday).? We decided to stay for the weekend in some cabins up in Oak Creek Canyon because we couldn’t spend much or go far.? I wish we could have honeymooned longer but Oak Creek was a wonderful place to stay.? I love to visit whenever I can – so many happy memories over the years.? When Tanner was 3 months old, we took him up to Oak Creek and got a few pictures of him.? I was determined to get Troy’s outdoor shots done there as well (Phoenix is way too hot in the summer for outdoor newborn shots).? It turned out to be just what I wanted.? Beautiful spot – beautiful baby – happy mommy.? It was a wonderful day with our family of SIX.

Yep.? He did again.? My happy little guy.

My hats are still toooooo big.? Had to try rolling that one up.

Had to get a scale picture because that scale belonged to my Great Grandfather – Maximillion Zimmermann.

What was everyone else doing?

I had to giggle when I was skimming through these snaps because I noticed Tori with her hand on Tanner so often.? Is she seeking assurance or is she guiding?? I suspect the latter.

The last few days I have been having trouble finding Troy’s pacys.? We have caught you know who sneaking them on the side a few times now.

I was laughing at her yesterday because Ty started to choke (normal newborn stuff – not the terrifying choking that happened before) and Tori says “OH MY GOSH!!!!? HE IS CHOKING!!!!? WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO?? WHAT SHOULD WE DO?”?? Little Miss In Control had a panic moment.? She is just like me isn’t she?? She is all well and good and runs her world just fine until something happens to a loved one and then she is screaming “WHAT SHOULD WE DO?”.? Such a mini-me she is.? She insists on making his bottles now.? I pour in the water and then she puts the formula in, screws on the nipple, and shakes the bottle.? She has a fit if I prepare it without her.?? The kids are truly in love with Troy.? Tanner is such a baby person so that didn’t surprise me.? Ty has surprised me though because he comes up pretty randomly through the day and just kisses him or gets his pacy for him.

Troy is a night owl right now.? He enjoys a wide awake 12:00 to 3:00 AM stretch.? Daddy took the entire night shift last night and let me rest but Jim goes back to work Monday so if I am incoherent next week, you’ll know why.
