Papa And Sweetie

In 2001, Dad celebrated 25 years of pastoring Grace Family Fellowship. We had a big celebration for them and gifted them with an all expense paid trip to New England. For several reasons, they didn’t take the trip like they planned that year and the following year, my mother’s dad passed away and she wasn’t ready for a big vacation. FINALLY, they decided to take their trip and they left today!!! Instead of flying, they decided to pull their trailer and go across the country at their own speed. I am not clear which states they will pass through but I know Colorado, Illinois, Oklahoma, Mass, Maine, Vermont, New Jersey and the Carolina’s are on the list. They will be gone about a month. Mom couldn’t say good bye today without crying. She has never been away from her kids and grandkids that long and as anxious as she was for this vacation, she was miserable leaving. Please pray for traveling mercies for them. I know family members will want trip updates so I’ll post them as I get them. I loaned dad my Elph so he is supposed to be emailing me pictures. I wish I could have been a stow away on this trip!!!!! I am so jealous!!!!

  1. Oh, I can’t wait for your updates. They are doing something I’ve always wanted to do! I want to drive up the east coast to New England when the leaves are changing. What fun!

  2. that is soooo good for them…

Father please keep them safe and be near to them. Look after the “homefront” while they are away. Let this be a time of new hope, restoration, peace, LOTS of laughter, revived hearts, and even a little adventure (safe, happy, FUN adventure, of course!) Thank you for this opportunity – help them to enjoy and savor every moment. Speak to them along the way and direct their steps now, and in the days and years to come. Amen.

  3. if they need anything in the Carolina’s have them contact me! I’m glad they’re getting a well deserved vacation.
