Me:?? Tori what in the heck are you doing?
Tori:?? Making a celebration!
I wasn’t celebrating.
She also used a pen on several doors this week to display very large murals of her art.???? Will it never end?

Setting:?? Tori in Walmart wearing a peach short dress and tall black suede high heel boots (that I must get a picture of).

This week’s song challenge…
Meany meany miny mo- Catch a tiger by the toe – now what?
Meany meany miny mo – Catch a tiger by YOUR toe – if you see a tiger…no?
Meany meany miny mo – Catch a tiger by your toe – if he hoppers…no?
Meany meany miny mo – Catch a tiger by your toe – if you catch a tiger…no?
Meany meany miny mo – Catch a tiger by your toe -if he doesn’t like it…no?
Meany meany miny mo – Catch a tiger by your toe – if he hollers run around
Me:?? TORI!?? I have told you this line 50 times!?? IF HE HOLLERS DON’T LET GO!
Tori:?? Let’s just ALL sing it.
Failure doesn’t seem to phase her a bit.?? Tanner and I need to take notes.

Troy had his apnea clinic appointment on Monday.?? At 3 months, he weighs 12 pounds 5 ounces and is 22.5 inches long.?? They said he is proportionate and growing wonderfully but Tanner was 9.11 and 22.25 at birth so that doesn’t seem proportionate to me.?? Again though, I am used to skinny babies.???????? They evaluated his alarms and said that the alarms I heard didn’t include a drop in heart rate so they weren’t concerned and they only saw one incident that was abnormal where the heart rate did drop but he recovered on his own right before the machine alarmed so I never knew about it.?? All that to say, we are definitely making progress in the apnea department.?? Yeah.?????? Dr. told me that I needed to have him on his tummy 5 times a day for 5 to 10 minutes at a time and he is NOT enjoying that at all.?? We also discussed his head size because I don’t think it is growing correctly.?? Dr. mentioned possible fluid on the brain concern (which FREAKED me out) but it isn’t growing that fast so she wants to wait another month before considering a trip to neurology.?? He doesn’t have any signs of a hydrocephalus issue so I think I am just observing preemie head.?? :)???? When babies are born prematurely, there little heads are so soft.?? They grow differently outside of the womb.?? Because of this, we discussed the possibility of getting him a helmit in a few months (they don’t like to start that until they are closer to six months).?? However, insurance may not cover it and those helmets are really expensive so hopefully his head will shape up (hee hee) on its own.?? He has an other swallow study in December.

Troy’s “GOTCHA DAY” will be happening on Saturday, November 19th – National Adoption Day.?? Jim and I are hoping we can all do breakfast (like we did with Tori).?? I will be sending out more info to family soon and hope you can all come.?? And yes, I know that is Daniel’s birthday and Brooke and I have already conferenced about that.

Ty has had a fascination with sleep walking lately.?? He must have seen something on a show but he has been talking to Tanner and I about his plan to sleep walk almost daily.?? Tanner and I keep trying to tell him that you can’t plan to sleep walk and that if you are aware of the fact that you are sleep walking then you are not sleep walking.?? We have gone over and over this to no avail.?? He is determined.???? LOL.
***********************************
One silly thing that caught my attention this week with Ty has been him talking himself through a few things out loud.???? Melted my heart each time and made me so excited to see his effort.???? These will be totally non-eventful stories to anyone else but they were a really big deal to me.
One day I was carrying in pizza and a host of other things from the car.?? Ty was struggling to climb out of our truck holding his drink and was (rather urgently) demanding my immediate attention.?? Somehow, he managed to get down and looked up at me still insisting he needed me to take his drink from him.???? Before I could respond though, he actually assessed the scene and said “Oh.?? I see that you have your hands full right now.”
Wooohooo!!!!!???? He very rarely notices the condition of someone else!?? That was pretty monumental I thought.
Then this week I was getting aggravated with all the kids because they kept running through my bedroom and tripping across Troy’s swing chord (while he was in the swing asleep no doubt) pulling the chord from the wall.?? Over and over I had told them to watch the chord.?????? For the millionth time, Ty runs through and jerks it out of the wall.???? He then says:
“What I SHOULD have done is come in and step OVER the chord.”
If Tori did that, it wouldn’t be very interesting to share but for Ty…different matter altogether and I was grinning ear to ear at that comment.

Oh, Maddy H-A-T-E-D tummy time too. Her Dr had to keep giving us advice and different ideas for it – like “Superman” is considered tummy time! So we’d fly her around the house. HA HA 🙂
just the other day i was thinking about ty and wondering what independence will look like for him one day, thinking about his growth, maturity, and what social skills he’ll learn over time… who he will become. it makes me smile smile smile right along with you sister to see these glimpses of maturity and independent thinking in him!!! oh that is just wonderful. as he keeps progressing forward in these kinds of ways, won’t we all sit back watching like proud little mama peacocks at that amazing and beautiful boy and God’s grace.
