Snow Day

Back in January we had intended to go on a family vacation to Disneyland but it didn’t end up working out so we decided to take a week and have a Staycation instead.???? There was so much snow up in the Strawberry area that all the roads were closed so we had small perimeters to play in but the kids had fun.???? I love the picture above because it gives testimony to how Troy is such a people lover.?? This little half turn twist to look up into Daddy’s face is something we see all the time.?? Where most babies love to face out so they can see the world, Troy often tries to do just the opposite.?? He wants to look into the face of whoever is holding him.?? If you are talking or laughing, he is especially interested.?????? He is absolutely fascinated by people.?? (This particular trait is Sweetie’s most favorite thing about our boy).

And yes…be still my heart…that would be MY man of 17.5 years.?? ๐Ÿ™‚

She was crying because our little Phoenix girl has a low tolerance for the cold (not because her brother was attacking her with snowballs).

Troy loved his first snow trip.?? We thought it was funny that he had to plant his face right in it.

(And to my Canadian girlfriend Joanne – should you read this – yes we actually do SEEK out snow LOL!)

I have to agree with Tori and her low tolerance for the cold, Her pics of her crying makes me want to pick her up and snuggle until she is warm. Love love love….lol, the picture of Tory face planting the snow, definitely a classic!! Have you ever thought about infesting in pickle jars…..Tanner and Ty are getting so big!!

  3. Johanne, I am so glad she gave you that shout out because now whenever I see your name in the comments I will think, “oh, our Canadian friend!!!!” We do get excited for snow over here, we have to wait for the cold weather and then have to drive two hours to play in it, but we really do love it! The kids look adorable all bundled up (that is another thing we rarely have to use – coats!) I do miss Apple Valley for snow days and Grammy’s snow ice cream!

  4. I think you saw more snow than we did this winter, and I am perfectly fine with that! ๐Ÿ™‚
