Jolley Family, Sat Jan 20th

Unfortunately, not much happened with yesterday’s surgery.?? Susie did not get to hear from the surgeon directly but the nurse told us that all the surgeon did was clean the injury out and put antibiotic beads in the leg.?? Our assumption then is that the muscles were still too swollen to attempt a bone graft.?? Ferris is having a lot of apnea post surgery.?? That is pretty typical for some people when on pain meds (me included – I am a major light weight and will drop my sats in a hurry on IV drugs)…but Ferris is having enough of a problem that they have decided he needs a blood transfusion this morning.?? Great day in the mornin’ – it never ends.?? Landen didn’t have a great night either.

Looks like at least Jacob and Ryan will be staying with us for a couple of days.?? I am anxious to have them too – makes me feel like I can do at least SOMETHING in this mess.

  1. I know those little ones will have LOTS of fun at Aunt Sissy’s house. In the midst of chaos, they will find peace and perhaps an overload of extra love. 🙂

I was I was there to come over and help with playtimes.

  2. gosh oh gosh, I was busy this week and didnt have time to read up on your postings Doni, wow what a shock to hear all the news. I am hoping and praying for the Jolley family. Please let them know that even strangers are thinking of them so much. I hope things will start to turn around for them soon. God Bless.

Thanks for the update. I feel so helpless out here in Alaksa. I plan on getting some gift cards your way but I wish there was more I could do. Susie is blessed to have so many people who love her so close. I will cont. to pray for her and her family!

  4. Can you give some suggestions on gift cards? I’m in NC and would like to send a few. What grocery store? restaurants (Chili’s?) or obviously some that might deliver to her? I saw a visa gift card at my grocery store tonight … do you think that would be easiest? Also…what gas company is near her?

  5. The Visa gift card sounds great!!! Also, Walmart would be a very good one because I know they visit the super Walmart frequently. Gas company’s – hmmmm…Susie is nearly an hour from me and I am not sure what is closest to her but Exxon, Circle K, Texaco, Diamond Shamrock…those are the one’s in my area so likely hers too.

What a great idea gas card! I guess she will be needing that due to the fact she will probably be doing a lot of driving during the next couple of weeks. Visa cards are great too. We usually give our neice and nephew those for christmas and birthday. THey can spend that where ever they accept visa.
