For years my mom tried to talk me into antique shopping with her.?? Not my thing.?? She was delighted when my love of photography necessitated a collection of some antiques.?? I finally found purpose for the purchase of old items.?? I love the timelessness of antiques in pictures.
I also love my mom.
When I see red kitchens, country decor, pot belly stoves, aprons, and pitchers and basins, I think of her.
A few months back I decided I needed a picture of Sweetie bathing Troy in a basin but I needed him to be big enough to sit securely and that took him longer than I anticipated.?? I finally got to shoot these this week at Papa and Sweetie’s in front of her dining room bay window.???? I love these shots of two of my very favorite people.?? They turned out just how I wanted and I will treasure this set always.

These are wonderful! I love the story-telling and the lighting and the basin & pitcher. I am amazed that Troy lets you pour water over his head like that, but I am so glad he does because those images are totally adorable! Most of all, I love your mom and Troy together and that last one is breathtaking. These brought a big smile to my face. I am sure they did for all of you, too!
