My precious Tanner is eleven today.?? I look at this picture and get choked up because he looks very eleven.?? He is so beautiful – SO BEAUTIFUL.?? He is losing that young boy look and transitioning into that tween look and it kills me.?? He catches me staring at him all the time (which he gets all shy about of course) and I always tell him that I just can’t help myself.?? He is such a work of art to look at.?? I love this boy so much!

oh doni, sister, he TRULY is. seeing that smile you have beautifully captured in this photo, but in living color everyday life is SUCH a gift. of all the dreams that have come and gone over the years, that filled my life or left a space, i’m so very VERY VERY grateful that God said yes to the dream of watching our children become friends – and be near to one another as sisters turned aunties to love one another’s kids. what a precious precious gift.
tanner, my other favorite redhead… i just love getting to know you as you grow into a strong and kind young man. i hope today was very happy for you – knowing you are finally a great big 11 year old. 🙂 happy birthday sweet nephew. this auntie sure does love you and thinks your mama is right – God used an extra special paint brush when he planned you dear boy. 🙂

Doni, I can still remember the day you picked him up at fedex. I can remember you coming into that little room at the call center to tell us all about the ordeal. So hard to believe Tanner and my Twins turn 11 this year. Tanner is such a handsome young man.
