I am going to be indulgent and post a bunch of pictures of my baby boy in color and then post several of the same shots tomorrow in black and white.?? I love color but these shots really spoke to me in black and white too so I decided to just post both.?? 🙂

I asked Jim if he would plant summer grass for me because I was sick of looking at the dry landscape out of my back window.?? Green grass really improves my mood.?? 🙂

At one year of age, Troy’s eyes still haven’t settled on their “color” yet (at least I don’t think).?? I feel certain that they will be hazel.?? The brown/green hazel like mine.?? Right now though, they have some brown in the center, a suggestion of green, but still quite gray on the outside.?? They are pretty dark too.?????? This weekend, four different family members brought it to my attention that Troy is not tracking properly with his left eye.?? Jim and I are noticing this when he is sleepy.???? Are we going to have to patch yet another kid??? Looks like it.???? Will be scheduling that appointment soon.?? Hopefully, Troy won’t need eye surgery like did.???? Oh but preemie problems do get tiring.

Troy loves to wave.?? It is adorable because it looks exactly like the “hang loose” sign.?? I love how he crawls down the hall and stops just to wave at me.

Big news!?? On June 19th, Troy FINALLY passed his swallow study!?? Third time was a charm.?? This means he no longer needs his bottles thickened.???? On the down side, he weighed 18.7 pounds and is still off the growth charts.?? Last year he was at 25% at one point but this year his lack of weight gain caused him to fall off the chart.???? The dietician wants me to see GI and discuss calorie increase etc but to be honest, I am not a bit worried about this.?? Tori was only 16 pounds at her first birthday.?? His little body looks healthy to me.?? In no way does he look under nourished.?? I am going to call this a preemie thing and wait and watch.???? He is still refluxing but not enough to cause this issue.?? Not ready to take him off lansprozole though as he still needs it.

Be still my heart.?? My beautiful boy.

I was hoping hoping he would bite that edge because babies always do and I wanted to capture it.?? He didn’t disappoint.
