Noticed this morning on INFUZE.com that in February of 2008 a documentary is being released to theatres called “Expelled – No Intelligence Allowed” with Ben Stein (Ferris Bueller’s Day Off….Bueller??? Bueller? 🙂 ).?? Guess what the topic is??? Intelligent Design!?? I am not endorsing this flick yet because I don’t know enough about it and the trailer didn’t say too much yet BUT I am glad that the ID movement is getting more and more attention.?? (For those that may not be in the loop, ID insists that we were designed not evolved).?? ID is also very SCIENTIFICALLY based and not religion/philosophy based.?? IDrs have made it on to many university campuses in the last few years and are beginning to sweep the nation.?? Court cases have been heard in many states now because IDrs want to bring their curriculum into the public school classrooms.?? Evolution is a theory and is not taught appropriately as such.?? True education would be presenting the challenges – that is what ID does.?? Not all IDrs are Christians as one can believe that we were designed by a higher power without having a relationship with that “power”.?? Also many IDrs are “Old Earth” supporters from a scientific perspective.?? I don’t take a camp on Young Earth/Old Earth personally.?? I have studied both theories and ultimately came to the inclusion that scripture itself doesn’t rule either out nor does it predominately support one over the other (as most young earthers would insist – I used to be one of them).?? If you are curious about this topic, let me know, and I’ll tell??email you??resources you can get on both sides of this topic if you want to weigh it out….but in the end – I do support this – WE WERE INTELLIGENTLY DESIGNED BY A CREATIVE AND LOVING GOD.?? Pretty excited that this topic is getting more national attention.
