Paul and Amanda – married Saturday, September 22nd, 2007!
When Amanda called me while I was in Boston and asked me to take her wedding pictures I just about FLIPPED!?? NO WAY!!!!!?? I thought it was the worlds worst idea and argued the point.?? I ultimately surrendered to it after making sure I had given all my “I am not a professional and I may very well screw up your priceless pictures” disclaimers.
I did find it to be very challenging for me and am unlikely to agree to it again….I simply don’t have the skill set for this endeavor at this point.?? I hope she likes them though.?? The quality is not that of a professional photographer by any means but I did my best.?? Here are a few for your viewing enjoyment ๐ .?? (Amanda – I will send the disc of all the pictures and the DVD to you soon ๐ ).

Ringbearers:?? Ty, Christian, and Tanner

Doni you did a fantastic job! I would have paid you to do mine! : )
Those pictures are GORGEOUS!!! I’d pay for your pictures too!!!
Easy to take gorgeous pictures when you are photographing the photogenic. Amanda is a dream to photograph (and so is Ty when he is being still – thank you Amanda for that gene LOL!). The pictures I took of Amanda and Ty together made me teary eyed. I just love their happy – joy filled expressions. The day I met Amanda I prayed that Ty would inherit her “love life” spirit. God sure answered that prayer. I am not a great photographer at this point – I hope I am someday – BUT I can often “capture” the people I love. That is the plus to photographing your loved ones. You know what to watch for, what moment to catch, their best smiles and most adorable expressions. I wish the pictures I took would have been of professional quality but I am thankful that I felt like I “captured” Amanda’s spirit in many of her pictures.
You really did quite well Doni! I love the live action shots!

Amanda,
Your pictures are amazing. You look so beautiful and happy in all of them. I love the shoe pics!!! How cute. You are so photogenic (and it doesnt hurt having someone do them that takes great pleassure in seeing that great smile.) You have given us such joy and we are truly happy that you have found what you were looking for. We pray that the Lord grant you many years to keep smiling, to keep spreading the cake and all the fun in the world cleaning that cake off! We’re loving you!
Your pics are great and as Doni says, it is easier with a natural, and that you are!!!! Congratulations from your extended family.
P.S. My favorite picture is the wind blowing your veil back and the way your georgeous bouquet hangs down your dress. So classy! Very beautiful!!!!!
Now I have another “Photographer” friend to be jealous of! You did a great job! Beautiful shots!
Amanda, You are such a beautiful bride! I loved your boquet, the way it cascaded down was gorgeous!!! The pictures are amazing – Doni captured all of your personalities in those pics and I felt that we were right there with you. Aren’t you so excited to have all those great shots? ๐ We are so happy for you and pray that God will bless your little family! Again, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!!
Congratulations Amanda!!!! You are a beautiful bride. I pray that the Lord will bless you in your marriage.
Doni~ Nice work on the photos. I think you did a lovely job!
one the best things about a good photographer is the ability to capture the heart and spirit… some professionals can’t do that with people. you did a great job doni!
congratulations amanda – you certainly made a lovely bride!! and photogenic is right! ๐
i LOVE the flip flops, by the way. ๐ GREAT idea. i’d have done it if there had been a way to raise the hem on my dress without paying a fortune… but it was too long and i had to have heels to not trip over it…BOY DID MY FEET HURT! YOU ARE A SMART GIRL!
I think you were pretty darn brave to do the cake in the face thing! wow! ha ha! cute.
Doni,
