I am working on a little project that is requiring me to digiscrap pictures from last year.?? Aren’t those sweet of Tanner???
Ty was so cute yesterday morning.?? Right after waking, he walks into the kitchen and says “Mommy I sleeped tight“.?? :)?? Adorable.?? Assuming that comes from me telling him “Goodnight sleep tight don’t let the bed bugs bite” often before he goes to sleep.??
??
This picture is of Ty and Grandma from last February at Anthem Park.?? Thought I’d try something different and give the picture an aged look.??
??
I love this??Dino picture!?? We went to the Mesa Southwest Museum last year with Grandma and Grandpa and I couldn’t wait to show Tanner what I did with this layout.?? He thought I was pretty cool ;).?? That was way too fun to make.
I’ll post more 2007 favorites as I go.?? I am trying really hard to “dress up” my blog postings with pictures when I post to make it more fun and interesting.?? That way, if I print it someday, I have pictures to go with my stories.?? Probably a project I will never get done but you never know…
Anyhow….
I think Phoenix should be quarantined!?? Everyone I have talked to this week is soooooo sick with terrible colds.?? Uncle Dave, Aunt Beck, Karsyn, Zandi, and Sweetie all sound TERRIBLE!?? Tanner and Ty have sounded a tiny bit stuffy but no other symptoms at all.?? So far we are lucking out.?? Jim has worked over time a lot this month so he is taking off tomorrow and Monday…yipppeee!?? I want to go up North this weekend and Tanner is just glad to have a little school holiday.?? I decided that when Daddy is on vacation, so are we!
A couple of cuties for the week….
*?? I need to remember to take pictures of Tanner’s top tooth.?? His top left tooth is wanting to come out and??the new tooth is pushing it so much it has rearranged everything.?? The teeth shift is making the top tooth very “bucked” out and I get a little giggle everytime I see it.?? Kinda Howdy Doodyish.?? :)??
*?? Everyone needs a Ty in their home!?? His love language really must be affirmation because he is so great at dishing it out and I just eat it up.?? Wish he would teach Jim and Tanner how the pros do it.?? :)?? Example from yesterday…
Background:?? Ty walks into my bedroom with an empty??watering can.
Ty:?? Mommy look I bought you some flowers!
Doni:?? How sweet!?? Thank you Ty!
Ty:?? Mommy you are AMAZING.?? You ARE!
Doni:?? Wow!?? That is so nice of you Ty!
Ty:?? Is your name “mommy”??? I love your name.
Isn’t that the best??? So precious for my son to say he loves my name….MOMMY!?? That is the greatest.
Another FUNNY one…
I asked Ty (as I often do) what he wants us to have.?? A little brother or a little sister??? His reply was classic Ty.?? He says “…….OR a monkey.”?? LOL.?? Uh no.?? I think I already have one of those.?? ๐
Potty Training
You’ll never believe this but Ty is turning out to be just as easy to potty train as Tanner was!??
Last Wed (or was it Thurs?) we had the whole 11 time fiasco.?? That was on Day 1.?? On Day 2 he had one accident and went to the bathroom a TON and wanted me eating my lunch in the bathroom.?? I thought he’d never leave that room.??After Day 2, he didn’t have anymore “number 1” accidents but he had not figured out “number 2” yet.?? On Sunday, Day 5, we had a number 2 break through at church.?? He was so excited he had to tell everyone.?? :)?? Ever since he has not had ANY accidents all week!!!?? I am still putting on a pull up at nap and bed time because he sleeps so deep.?? I’ll tackle that later.?? He is totally low maintenance about it too and has gotten over asking me to come with him (for the most part).?? AWESOME!?? I really thought he would be M U C H harder but I guess he was ready.?? Sometimes it pays to wait longer to train I think.?? It seems those of you who said “he’ll get it” – were right.?? I think he was “holding” it and slowly but surely he is maturing through this and isn’t having to take quite so many potty breaks.?? Good times……

Oh I love the pictures, I only wish where I could get some extra time to do the same.
Tell Tanner to keep working on loosening that tooth, but look out, KyLeigh’s tooth did the same thing and before I knew it her big tooth came in right behind the baby tooth.
I will stand with you and vote for a valley wide quarantine, this is just crazy, I will be praying that your boys do not get sick. Could you just please try and bring back a little cleaner air from the mountains this weekend?
And don’t forget my rock!
I love his reaction to his choice of a sibiling, I think Landen would side with him in a heart beat. Our collection of his monkeys has grown to over 30, yet every night when he goes to bed he wants the ugly monkey with the misssing eye.
As for cutie pie Ty!!! XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO, sounds like you have a charmer on your hands, I know how much you love that kinda stuff from little one’s and I am glad he is playing the part. The statement about Ty loving the word MOMMY is tear jerking, that right there should have won the kid some extra cookies or game time. Tanner and Ty are both so blessed to have one of the world’s greatest mother’s.
A huge high five on the potty training, what a big boy. He must feel like such a big kid.
Doni,
I can’t believe your pictures yet again!!! Is it possible for you to just keep getting better? I think the dinosaur one should be made into a real book for Tanner with his love of dinosaurs. I bet he did love it. I love your kind of scrapbooking!!!!
Now that Ty is getting the potty training thing down, it is definetely time for baby number three!!! We’re praying with you on that one ๐
I am so happy about the potty training. That’s pretty much how it was with the twins. Once they decided to do it (almost 6 years) they pretty much did it on their own. I will be starting Luke after our 2 week trip to PA in March. He does go on the potty from time to time but is not consistent enough for me to want to start.
We just lost our first tooth in this household (posted on my blog) and Matthew’s top teeth are all over the place and it is hilarious to look at.
We have all been sick here too. They say the whole phoenix area has been hit hard.
Great pictures!
LOOVE your pictures! beautiful!!!!
ps – you just reminded me! i finished the book for my dad… i haven’t printed it for him yet so i haven’t posted on my blog. i’ll have to send it to you… i’ll have to save your inspirations here for another future project. just might have to steal again. huh? ๐
don’t you just love that ‘dinner party’ theme – LOOVE that one.
