What Gift

I have been so excited to play with pictures of Tori but I haven’t had the time yet.?? Still though…I wanted to see her “decorated” so I asked her Aunt Heidi to dress up some pictures for me just for fun.?? Plus I thought it would be special to have these digital creations from her first Valentine’s Day done by her Aunt.?? Heidi is very very creative and so artistically talented.?? Didn’t she do awesome on these digi scrapbook pages for me??? I love them!?? I especially love the light shining down on Tori – looks like Heaven shining its light on her.?? I have been wanting to use that effect but haven’t had the chance yet – think I am going to be using the light brushes on a lot of Tori’s pictures.?? Seems very appropriate!?? ๐Ÿ™‚

Heidi is also a very talented writer.?? She wrote a poem for Tori (and the boys too) this week that made me cry!??I’ll cherish this always. ??Your going to love it.?? Heidi is amazing.?? Here it is:

*******??

There???s a heavenly ditty so close to my heart??

That I???d like to tell you the story??

About one Tanner and one small Ty??

And a little Savannah named Tori??

??

Born on the breath of angels??

And carried to us on their wings??

Wrapped in the praises of heaven??

A gift of the city???s Great King??

??

The frailty of humankind welcomes??

Our Majesty???s gift with such wonder??

Though humble, the praises of subjects,??

Still offered with heartfelt thunder??

??

What gift, what word, what offer,??

To so Great a King shall we send??

No word will ever do justice??

No song, no letter of pen??

??

The gift of a child, too grand to express!??

The gift of a family ??? Divine!??

The heavenly tapestry woven,??

Destinies enraptured with mine??

??

I have only rags to offer??

Unclothed, with nothing I come??

But come, I do, to offer??

Back to You, daughter and son??

??

Nothing else seems worthy??

Nothing else can compare??

So I offer myself, my heart, my soul??

And every sweet gift You???ve shared??

??

Thank You, Great King, for Your kindness??

Thank You, for writing our story??

I???ll cherish a lifetime and then some??

Your dear Tanner, Your Ty, and Your Tori??

??

??

***** Good grief….I just reread it AGAIN and am crying all over!

??

I love you Heidi Jo!

  1. i love you too… i knew that in your heart you were worshipping Father for such precious gifts… a simple thank you would never do justice… and so the poem came saturated in praises with you. God is good… All the time… All the time… you know. ๐Ÿ™‚

(Does the last picture translate in blogging? That’s she’s in a little nest with red feathers?? Just in case someone is wondering what the heck all that mess is! Ha ha! I’m anxious to play around with some of her other pictures… but this was a fun start.) ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Tears and praise mingle together as I watch my two precious girls and remember the prayer asking for this friendship, not knowing then that it was to be a union of souls and turn instead to a sisterhood that was as holy a union of that designed by God in grafting us together in Him. You girls bring out such good in each other and I love watching the joy you share. Heidi Jo that poem is precious and will be a treasure for Doni always. I love your creative pics as well!!!! Job well done ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. That is the most moving, thought-provoking, dearest poem dedicated to a precious gift from God. I agree with Aunt Becky that this poem will be treasured always. The depth and the insight imparted by Heidi causes one to re-read and ponder it’s message in a powerful way.

    In Christ,

  5. You are such a sweetheart Heidi. I love the poem – WOW! And love your scrapbook work as well:).
